  • DEMETRA: Food, Nutrition & Health / Alimentação, Nutrição & Saúde is a scientific journal published by the Institute of Nutrition of the Rio de Janeiro State University, and has as mission the publication of debates, reviews and research findings relevant to the field of Food, Nutrition and Health. It is an open and free electronic journal that receives manuscripts in Portuguese, Spanish or English. After the peers review process, the journal discloses, free of charge to the author or reader, complete manuscripts in two versions: Portuguese and English or Spanish and English. The magazine maintained its four-month frequency. This journal is an extension n of CERES: Nutrição & Saúde, ISSN 1981-0881, in activity from 2006 to 2011.
