The Yenagoa Medical Journal is the official publication of the Association of Resident Doctors of the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Nigeria (ARD, FMCY). The first Editorial Board of the Yenagoa Medical Journal was inaugurated on the 18th of January, 2019. Our maiden edition was published in July, 2019, and our publications have been consistent since then. Four issues are published in a year; January – March, April – June, July – September and October – December.
The aim of the Yenagoa Medical Journal is to provide a platform for publication of clinical and medical research works, and all related subjects. These published research works are disseminated freely for academic, reference and research purposes.
Our scope includes publication of open access, peer-reviewed original articles, short research notes, short communications, review articles, systematic review articles, case reports, commentaries, perspectives, viewpoints, letters to the editor, book reviews, medical educational materials and articles on socioeconomic, political or legal matters related to medical practice.
