  • Journal description
  • Biuletyn Kryminologiczny/Bulletin of Criminology (former name: Biuletyn Polskiego Towarzystwa Kryminologicznego im. prof. Stanisława Batawii) has been published since 1991. Until 2008, it had been published in hard copy (ISSN 2084-5375). Since 2009, it has been published only digitally. The purpose of Biuletyn Kryminologiczny is to promote mainly Polish criminological research with a special emphasis on young scholars and PhD candidates who would like to publish their research findings or theoretical studies. The regular sections of the Bulletin of Criminology include Articles – where we generally publish articles on empirical and theoretical criminology, discussions of research concepts and specialised literature, as well as analyses of selected academic problems. In addition, we publish theoretical and analytical articles from areas related to criminology, e.g. criminal law, forensic science, forensic medicine, psychology, and sociology. Reports – where we publish reports from criminological conferences. We believe that providing at least brief information about the most interesting presentations at such conferences will help a wider audience to learn about new trends in our field. Reviews – where we publish reviews of books on criminological problems. Varia – a section with information about ongoing criminological research and publications in the field of criminology. It is intended to inform the criminology community about current research in Poland carried out in various scientific centres and about the latest publications in the field of criminology.
