We live in a time of intense social change. Technology is advancing every day and is leading to new ways of solving problems, ways of working, as well as the way of coming to knowledge. Digital games as part of modern technology, in addition to being fun, offer the possibility of a different learning concept. Playing digital games, if properly implemented in the teaching process, can have multiple positive effects. If we want to see the teaching of the future, we cannot do that by looking at the teaching of what it is now. We have to watch the children during they play video games. We will see that they are engaged, excited, active as they learn by crossing one level of the game after another. The digital environment has led to the phenomenon that today's children adopt information in a different way than their parents did. Instead of receiving information passively from beginning to end, which was made possible by previous learning technologies such as books, printed materials, television shows, today's children are in an interactive relationship with learning technologies. The application of digital games in teaching enables the encouragement of creativity in children, which is in contrast to the current way of working in schools in which students are mostly offered ready-made solutions. Learning through play is a controlled process of the personal activity of students through which solutions are found and answers to certain questions. The aim of this paper is to point out the influence of digital games on the effects of learning, on the motivation of students, as well as the ways in which they can be implemented in the teaching process. In this way, students' everyday experience in playing digital games, acquired outside of school, could be used for the purpose of transferring and acquiring new knowledge.

J. R. R. Tolkien is undoubtedly one of the most widely read epic fiction writers, translated into almost forty world languages. His works describe the entire history of an imaginary world, from the very beginning of its creation until the creation of man and are imbued with a constant struggle between good and evil. On the opposite sides, there are different races of humanoid creatures, among which are: elves, dwarves, orcs, goblins, trolls, etc. They all have elaborate genealogies and cultural characteristics. The extremely rich philological education of the author himself contributed to that. The connections between Tolkien’s work and Nordic myths have been shown in detail in science so far. This is most obvious when choosing mythological symbols and names. The author even created an elven language inspired by the Finnish language, for which he used runic alphabet. However, the names of the places where orcs, goblins and other servants of evil live, as well as their personal names, were not created after the example of elves. According to their phonetic characteristics, these names are significantly different from elven and human ones. In this paper, attention will be focused on such names, considering that they possess phonetic and semantic characteristics of the Turkish language, especially its older variants, and that they carry certain meanings that still exist in the modern Turkish language.

The concept of inclusion remains a topic of many discussions between professionals and researchers. At the same time, many children with autism are included in mainstream school with their neurotypical peers. Research has shown that many children with autism are socially excluded in mainstream schools. This review paper aims to explore the perspective of pupils with autism on inclusive education. The main results were grouped by the following themes: relationship with peers, relationship with teachers, environment and sensory issues, interests, and what children need in mainstream schools. This narrative review has shown that from the perspective of pupils with autism educational inclusion is still not achieved.

Countless research studies have been carried out covering a wide range of aspects associated with phrasal verbs. However, little has been done when it comes to phrasal verbs in the mechanical engineering discourse, more so in the ESP teaching in the B/C/S context. This paper was aimed at investigating the role of phrasal verbs in the technical discourse, identifying the most frequent phrasal verbs within the mechanical engineering register, and determining the level of familiarity with such structures among the students at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Zenica.

In Croatia‘s and Austria’s educational systems, plurilingual students have long had the status of a priority group, and thus give us the impression of readiness in facing the "problem" of dynamics of society as the greatest challenge of all – whether as national minorities or students who, as refugees in accompanied or without parents, come to one of these countries in search of a better life. In both countries, concepts have been developed and laws aimed at integrating plurilingual children into regular classes as soon as possible, encouraging them to learn the language of the majority population first, while neglecting their backgrounds and the potential they carry. By reviewing and comparing concepts, laws, and regulations that deal with all aspects of the phenomenon of plurilingualism – from the structure and manner of distribution of plurilingual children in classrooms, through the training of teachers who teach them, to the image of them in society, the paper will try to answer the question to what extent these states are ready for the multi- and plurilingual reality that surrounds us.

Numerous studies are focused on discovering the factors involved in achieving school success or failure. Among the recognized factors are certainly the locus of control and procrastination. Research has shown that procrastination and locus of control are important indicators of school behavior, attitudes toward obligations, and indicators of school success (Sakač 2008; Košanski 2004). Therefore, this paper sought to determine the extent to which they play an important role in school success. The increasing interest in examining school success lies in being assessed as a significant factor in a child’s life. Its significance influences the development of self-confidence, satisfaction, success, and motivation. Within the research framework, school success was determined by school achievement at the end of the school year. The survey was conducted on 100 respondents of elementary school students, a sample is appropriate. During this research, the relationships between these variables were analyzed, the Anova procedure was used to analyze the data. The obtained results showed that procrastination and locus of control within this sample did not prove to be significant factors of school success.

The first mentions of the nuns of St. Clare in Kotor date from the fourth decade of the 14th century. Their position in that commune improved in the second half of that century. In December 1364, at the request of the Kotor authorities, Pope Urban V asked the Bishop of Kotor, Dujmo II, to restore the former Benedictine monastery due to the needs of the nuns St. Clare. In the presence of the highest authorities of Kotor, on October 10th, 1365, a document on this legal action was issued. It is preserved in a transcript in the manuscript collection II b 21, held in the manuscript department of the Archives of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts in Zagreb. The document contained the act of assigning the monastery to the Clarisses, prescribing the income which was given on that occasion to the monastery of St. Clare, as well as the appointment of Clare of Foro Julius as its first nun. Part of the transferred revenues consisted of communal revenues from fish market customs duties. The second part of the donation consisted of revenues in the amount of two hundred perpers, half of which came from the butcher's slaughterhouse, and the other half from customs revenue on wine. Customs officers or gabellers, ie persons who leased the mentioned revenues, were obliged to take care of the collection of those revenues. Revenues that the monastery of St. Clare received in October 1365 and are mentioned during the 15th century. Dukal of October 15th, 1447, says that the Venetian authorities after Kotor accepted their rule, recognized the right of the nuns of St. Clare on the said revenues. However, Kotor municipal authorities have occasionally challenged the right to collect assigned revenues, as well as the right to elect procurators themselves. That is why the nuns complained to the Venetian authorities, who ordered the Kotor authorities to allow them to enjoy the allocated income and the right to elect procurators themselves. The problem of paying the income from the fish market to the Clarisses was also present at the end of the 15th century, and Venetian authorities had to intervene.

Glorification is more and more present nowadays, also like denial crimes committed. Thereby they want to relativize crimes, falsify all historical events, and ultimately try to equalize criminals with the victim. Glorification, revisionism, and disclamation become so important. Criminals and their bad deeds are presented as heroic, mythical, and ideal. They introduce themselves as leaders, representatives, and sons of the best from the nation where they come from. Instead of shame and confronting society with criminals and their crimes, they are celebrated, respected, and elevated to the greatest human values. This is a paradox of the modern world. The analysis of relevant documentation (documents of the so-called Army of republic Srpska ICTY, judgments, reference literature in the subject area....) will be an attempt to explain the topic of glorification. Offering solutions to possible deviations from the permanent glorification of crimes and criminals has become a challenge of the modern age.

The paper discusses the relationship between Marx's philosophy and the rule of law. The classical view of Marxism and the rule of law tells us that these are opposite notions. In this paper, the author presents different views in the context of the relationship between Marx's philosophy and the rule of law in relation to the classical Marxist view of the rule of law. Also, the author in this paper shows that Marx'sunderstanding of the rule of law does not necessarily contradict the modern concept of the rule of law, and also, Marx's understanding of the rule of law is related to the problem of building the rule of law in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The author conveys Marx's critique of 'law' as a critique of the process of building the rule of law in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition, the author shows that Marx's critique of 'law' is not necessarily an obstacle to the implementation of the modern concept of the rule of law.

The present paper discusses the phenomenon of excessive use of smartphones focusing on social networks – primarily Facebook and Instagram. Subjects in focus were students of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Tuzla from all study fields, undergraduates and postgraduates. Paper is theoretically focused on the phenomenon, recognized by recent academic literature, as FOMO or "fear of missing out)" and also partially investigates nomophobia ("NO MObilePHonePhoBIA) as a new subtype of "addiction" (whether it is an addiction or not, the academic community is still divided). It also includes a theoretical introduction and description of FOMO syndrome and nomophobia in developed democracies with available statistics and data on recent research that focuses – mainly – on young people (not older than 35 years). Based on the available research, FOMO was defined and also indicators that can be interpreted or related to nomophobia. A considerable number of indicators were found which confirm the possible wide existence of FOMO and nomophobia among students of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Tuzla. The empirical part consists of a theoretical analysis of the phenomenon in modern democratic societies (with a focus on the younger population) and a comparison with the data obtained from an online survey in which 110 students participated. Quantitative indicators point to a justified assumption of the existence of FOMO phenomena and nomophobia among students of the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Tuzla. 25% of them feel a sudden need to check their smartphones if they haven’t done so in the last hour; 21% say that it never happens to them that they don’t check social networks for more than an hour. 46% of students would not be able to abstain from social media and a similar percentage said they have problems related to sleep. A significant number of respondents admit that they spend too much time on social media, but, as they subjectively assess, they do not feel that it’s a "digital addiction" but a habit.

Applying analogies in teaching and learning can significantly improve their outcomes. It is pedagogically important to know the various factors on which depend the frequency and manner of application of analogies. Such factors include creativity. We can see the relationship between creativity and analogy from several angles. In this paper, we are dealing with the connection between self-assessment of creativity and the tendency to apply analogies in a pedagogical context. On a sample of 305 students, the Kaufman Creativity Domain Scale (K-DOCS) and inventory were applied to measure the propensity to spontaneously apply analogies. The results suggest that there is a connection between self-assessment of creativity and a tendency to apply analogies, but also that the nature of that connection is complex. The connection was registered with two areas of expression of creativity (personal-everyday and academic area), while the connection with other areas was not registered. The meaning and pedagogical significance of the obtained results were discussed.

This paper deals with economic-geographical factors of student satisfaction with café bars and nightclubs in Zagreb. To gain insight into regional differences in student satisfaction and guided by the principles of non-probabilistic sampling using the snowball technique, an online survey was conducted (N = 319). Significant spatial differences in consumer satisfaction were detected. They are not only caused by macroeconomic indicators (average salaries), nor by material resources that students have at their disposal (pocket money and other income) but are greatly relational. In other words, the perception of the price difference between Zagreb and the county from which the respondents come proved to be extremely important. Finally, the location was the most important factor when students choose which café bar they are going to visit.

Nigeria is a nation with plural ethnic, religious, lingual and cultural identities that are constantly exploited by the political class to promote their selfish interest. Although not a determinant for conflict, diversity in Nigeria has unjustifiably sparked identity-based conflicts which necessitate separatism, insurgency and ethnic restiveness – among others, which threatens to drive the country to a perpetual state of fragility. This paper thence sought to assess Nigeria’s tortuous experience with identity and identity politics with particular reference to ethnic, religious and lingual challenges. The paper furthers the discussion on identity politics in Nigeria to proffer practicable solutions. It argues that identity consciousness has overtaken national consciousness and engendered a relationship characterized by domination, superiority and hegemony by the various groups. It reveals that the currency of politics is an ethnic-hegemony-rivalry sentiment that threatens national integration. The paper reviews available literature on the subject matter from peer-reviewed journal articles, reports of reputable international organizations, working papers and newspaper articles. It concluded that identities have become powerful manipulative instruments in the hands of the political elites used to divide the Nigerian populace. It recommended the promotion of justice, equity and fairness in governance to ameliorate the chances of identity dissension and identity-based conflicts.

This year marks the seven decades of the death of Игна́тий Юлиа́нович Крачко́вский, (1883-1951), Russian Orientalist and one of the translators of the Qur'an. His translation is one of the most famous translations of this holy book. This essay deals with Крачко́вский primarily as Arabist and Islamicist who published over 500 works, and one of the foremost names in Russian Oriental Studies. His studies of Arabic literature, both contemporary and classical, as well as Arabic history and geography served Крачко́вский as a background for his translation of the Qur'an done at the end of his life. His famous translation was published posthumously, in 1963. The edition was supported by the Russian Academy of sciences in Moscow.
