This article discusses one of the ways to improve the efficiency of the company's activities – the business process optimization. Today, many organizations are coming to this decision more and more often. The relevance of the chosen topic lies, first of all, in the fact that companies that have decided on the need to optimize their activities can work more efficiently, thereby preventing possible risks and creating a “safety cushion” in adverse periods.
The main goal when writing the article was to show how the business process under consideration “Product promotion on marketplaces” has visually changed using modeling in the MS Visio program. As a result, the following tasks were considered to achieve it. For example, the optimization process was considered from a theoretical point of view, namely: the definition is given, the stages and elements of the business process are described. The process of product promotion on the Internet is also considered, that is, with the help of which tools companies, filling out product cards on marketplaces, can display them in the “top”. Among them: high-quality photos, SEO-optimized description, modern and understandable infographics, etc.
When writing the work, research methods were used, including comparison (when visualizing the business process “before” and “after” optimization), analysis and description (when collecting information), deduction (when drawing up business process diagrams). In addition, the “IDEF0” notation was used to visualize the business process.
The special attention is paid to the practical part of the article in order to show how visual modeling can simplify the business process, while reducing the number of functional blocks by combining them and changing their order.
