The global economic reports suggest that Africa is the final frontier of the world and as the GDP of Ethiopia continues to rise substantially year after year, it’s the right time that Ethiopia indulge into channelized marketing for textile and garment industry. Moreover there is a sequential increase in production and export of organic cotton to the U.S.A & Europe. It is realized that in the coming decade garment and textile industry is taking a serious turn towards ecological produce and marketing of products. Ethiopia being one of the fastest developing economies in Africa holds a great chance to develop the fashion industry on the whole as with the increasing GDP of the country the customer will have a bigger pocket to spend on fashion & lifestyle products. Moreover there is a substantial rise in the education if textile and garment sector as well. All these factors together will contribute to the growth of the Ethiopian market if the industries channelize their product sales through effective marketing mix.

This paper proposes that emotions play an important role in the leadership process. More precisely, it is proposed that emotional intelligence, the ability to understand and manage moods and emotions in the self and others, contributes to effective leadership in organizations. Four major aspects of emotional intelligence: (i) the appraisal and expression of emotion, (ii) the use of emotion to enhance cognitive processes, (iii) decision making, knowledge about emotions, and (iv) management of emotions are reviewed. Researcher, subsequently, proposes how emotional intelligence contributes to effective leadership by focusing on five essential elements of leader effectiveness: (i) development of collective goals and objectives; (ii) instilling in others an appreciation of the importance of work activities; (iii) generating and maintaining enthusiasm, confidence, optimism, cooperation, and trust; (iv) encouraging flexibility in decision making & change; and (v) establishing and maintaining a meaningful identity for an organization.

This paper highlights the issues and challenges facing by community-based tourism (CBT) to ensure financial sustainability of their project or enterprise by using Tourism Cooperative Limited (KOPEL Berhad) as a case study. Nowadays, the financial sustainability issues is a main consideration due to large number of CBT projects are constrained and some are severely threated by inconsistent and inadequate financing. CBT has been identified as a strategic approach that encourages them to diversify revenue sources and develop new revenue-generating activities. This case study provides issues and challenges faced and factor that contributing to the financial sustainability of the enterprise. For KOPEL, the management challenge is to allocate resources strategically and make those resources as productive as possible using new financial and marketing model.

Today, in the era of global economic recession due to the recent crisis, the main roots of work stress are feelings of insecurity and threat on behalf of employee. This is because these factors can very easily lead to a point of fear and panic. But especially these days, stress at work cannot be analyzed separately and independently of other factors. Most employees experiencing bitterness and frustration and scientists believe that there is a strong evidence of increased pressure that may lead to burnout syndrome. The syndrome does not appear suddenly as an acute disorder or stroke. Instead, it is a problem which occurs over time, if the conditions entailing persist and torment the person. Every job position involves certain forms of behavior that is expected to be “exhibited” by the person who works in a certain sector. Things are not quite as simple as they seem at first, because specified forms of behavior are not always clear and unambiguous and are often contradictory. The “exercise” of a role within an organization can be linked to stress when requirements and expectations of the individual are in conflict to the requirements and expectations of the organization. But strategies of organizational culture may help to overcome such situations and may help employees to reduce the level of stress in their job.
