48 patients with insomnia were examined by polysomnography method, and 7 patients (14%) with pseudoinsomnia were identified. Their sleep was monitored with registration of EEG, EMG, EOG, ECG, heart rate, airflow, respiratory movements and blood oxygenation rates. The examination showed that the sleep of these patients slept for at least 6 hours, and the structure of sleep was hardly distorted.
