This research aims to determine, what is the model that allows to explain more precisely the historical behavior of the general index of the stock exchange of Colombia (IGBC), from the period January 1 2008 to May 31-2012? Analyzing this phenomenon from the theoretical perspective of the Dow Jones and the technical analysis and using the methodology of the ARCH family models. It is studied the market volatility, the ARCH, GARCH, EGARCH and PARCH models are compared using traditional evaluation criteria and it`s concluded that the EGARCH (1, 1) model has the best ability to predict. Finally, it is identified like a future line of research, the need for empirically contracting the relevance of measuring the volatility of the IGBC under the guidelines established by the Colombian financial Superintendence for the calculation of market risk.

This paper presents a methodology based on patents social network analysis for Higher Education Institutions and Research Centres, looking to increase their scientific and technological capabilities through identify strategic partners, they behavior and possible entry barriers to their social networks. This study analysed of 141.348 patents from 1980 to 2011 obtained through a search process at ESPACENET and used TouchgraphNavigator© and UCINET© for supporting the analysis process. Also it was necessary to implement indicators used in patent analysis, social networks and scientometrics. Finally, the study allowed the identification of two potential partners, one in the university environment and other in the business environment.

Today, there are discussions in underdeveloped countries and even in developing ones, Latin American case, the economic halt surrounded by a sea of poverty and social exclusion, in contrast, developed countries starting from the crisis of 1929 show their growth from economic development models as a theoretical backup of the management thinking captured for management practices; proved useful to identify the contributions of development theory as the foundation of organizational theories and their impact on managerial practices as a development factor. Methodologically the research was focused on the qualitative approach to the phenomenological analysis of the data found in document reviews. The results determined that the management practices are based on classical and contemporary organizational theories centered on principles of efficiency and productivity. From contemporary theories dynamism with social and environmental approaches, its foundation the human school with the thinkers: Weber, Elton Mayo, reformists and other thinkers who considered for management practices focused on the adequacy expressed interest in the approach human-scale development.

The aim of this research is to present the spatial correlation to determine the interaction and spatial and temporal dependence of criminal activities in the various departments of Bolivia. To achieve this goal variables are discussed such as; crimes against bodily integrity and health, homicide, mugging, theft, burglary or aggravated robbery, violations, rapes and indecent assault, trying to explain these crimes by economic reality, represented by the variables Gross Domestic Product and Per Capita GDP, social variables such as number of operations performed and amount of drugs seized and finally environmental variables such as temperature. Based on this information the analysis is performed using spatial econometric panel models to show the impact of the variables described in criminal activities and incremental levels.

The Organizational Climate (OC) is a basic factor in the appraisals that workers have of the structures and processes that occur in the workplace, its importance lies in the fact that an employee’s behavior is the result of perceptions that he/she has from the organizational factors , which will depend in large part , from the activities , interactions, and another set of experiences that each member has with the organization. Hence the CO reflects the interaction between personal The Organizational Climate (OC) is a basic factor in the findings that workers have the structures and processes that occur in the workplace, its importance lies in the fact that an employee’s behavior is the result of perceptions that the organizational factors, which will depend , in large part , activities , interactions, and another set of experiences that each member has with the organization. Hence the CO reflects the interaction between personal and organizational characteristics ones. The type of design was transverse descriptive. The sample consisted on 81 subjects of operational level, consisting of the Guards who perform the service of Surveillance and Private Security and 11 subjects performing administrative functions. We concluded that the current satisfactory climate perception by employees of this organization is closely linked to the commitment that is currently assumed by them from all the hierarchical levels.
