Concepts are entered „elementary succession system”, „cyclocoenon” (type of the succession system) and „succession complex”. The peculiarities of ontogenesis and population structure of Rhododendron myrtifolium in Ukrainian Carpathians in natural conditions and under grazing and trampling were investigated. The highest population density was found out under the protection. High buffer capacity was discovered, but the recovery after disturbances is long and can last for dozens of years.

The results of the investigations of the age spectrum dynamics and other demographic parameters of the Corydalis solida (L.) Clairv. cenopopulations in the different types of agricultural using of the territory are presented. The age-dependent composition of the Corydalis solida (L.) Clairv. cenopopulations have a right side tendency in the low disturbed communities. The increasing of the density and reveal index meaning under anthropogenic pressure are discovered.

The analysis of receipt and consumption of solar energy is given for primary and contemporary vegetation cover within river basin ecosystems. It is determined that the present changes in vegetation cover are caused an decrease of solar energy consumption. There is redistribution of warmth consumption in radiation balance structure descends in the way of decreasing of its part in total evaporation as well as increasing it in thermal exchange processes with athmosphere.

Cu, Zn, Pb, Cd, Mn, Fe Sr, S content is measured in soils and plants of man-caused area of Yavoriv open-cast sulfur mining. Except Mn, the content of investigated elements is below clarke level and ukrainian boundary concentrations for heavy metals in soils. The Mn concentrations are fixed on range from clarke level to 2-3 times above clarke level. Metal content in plants is established on the average level for mainland flora.

The functional role of the bryophytes in quarries of Volyno-Podillіa has been investigated. It is found that development of the bryocommunities on the techogenic outcrops has positive impact on primary pedogenesis processes and microclimate regimes stabilization. Moss cover contract days/seasons temperature amplitude and promote moisture conservation in substrata superficial layers. The bryophytes have an influence on humus accumulation and on soil’s profile differentiation in technogrounds. Also mosses alter pH level in their microhabitats.

Results of researches on influence of calcium, selenium, lead and cadmium on growth and development of F. hygrometrica protonemata are presented. It have been determined that protonemata on the agar medium with Ca2+ + Pb2+ і Ca2+ + Cd2+ were longer and contained more cells than that treated with Pb2+ or Cd2+ only. The presence of calcium partially neutralized toxic effect of heavy metals in protonemata cells are concluded. It has been shown that selenium counteracted the toxicity of heavy metals on growth and development of F. hygrometrica in trace amounts.

On the low light intensity the interaction among gravity and light influences on the alignment to gravity, orients gravitropic growth and reverses gravitropism. The gravity ассelerates the development of protonemata and stimulates the transformation of the apical cells into gametophore buds. First of all endogenous factors being masked by gravity or light are necessary for the spiral growth of protonemata mats.

An influence of heavy metals on the processes of accumulation of free proline in the assimilatory organs of Salix caprea L. and Tilia cordata Mill. in the conditions of Burshtyn urboecosystem has been investigated. The presence of close correlative regressive dependences is set between the change of concentrations of stress-protected amino acid in the leaves of Tilia cordata and heavy metals accumulation in shedded leaves was determined. In Salix caprea marked association was not discovered. Proline contents in the leaves of arboreal plants is recommended to use as a bioindication criteria for the estimation of the territories ecological state.

The results of synphytosozological investigations of the territory of „Skolivski Beskydy” national nature park are given. The rare phytocoenofund of the park is presented by 55 associations which belong to 15 vegetation formations. From these associations 7 are included to „Green Data Book of Ukrainian SSR” (1987), 21 – to regional „Green Data Book” (1998), and 13 – to „G. D. B. of Ukraine. Forests” (2002). The description of a new for Ukraine association Calluno (vulgaris)-Bruckenthalio (spiculifoliae)-Nardetum (strictae) is given.

Mustelid guild is presented in the East European fauna by six species, with most expressed differences in lower segment of the body size row. In all case, females and males behave separate members of guild, and size row in the guild is represented in turn of females and males of each species. Level of sex differentiation reaches average value of the Mayr’s coefficient of divergence CD=2,87–2,97 and the Hutchinson ratio HR=1,13. Among mechanisms of competition limitation, in spite of decreasing of the female sizes, there is narrowing of female variation, that corresponds to phenomenon of asymmetric character displacement, most expressed in small-sized species. The leading position in correlation pattern of sex-dependent characters, share of males in samples has high correlation (r=0,99) with level of morphological differences of sexes. Significant overlapping of ecomorphological characters in large-sized members of the guild conflict with expected pattern of guild (the mustelid paradox) and can be explained by lower natural abundance of Mustela as well as high trophic, biotope and behavior specialization of large-sized species.

Trichoferus campestris (Faldermann, 1835) was recorded in Crimean and Precarpathian regions of Ukraine, as a new species for the Ukrainian fauna. There are two hypothesis of its invasion in Ukraine. First – natural distribution of T. campestris. Second – introductuion of T. campestris with imported timber. The identification key of genera Trichoferus Wollaston, 1854 in Ukraine is presented.

Due to the materials of five-year investigations on the territory of NNP „Hutsulschyna” it was established and confirmed the existance of 880 species of vascular plants, 999 animal species. Most part of the biological dyversity is formed by the rare component, 47 species of the vascular plants and 68 species of animals; they are the subject of detaile monitoring.
