Abstract Discourse on inclusion of immigrants in the European Union countries traditionally revolves around three core models: multiculturalism,assimilationism and differential incorporation. However, effectiveness of such classification is called in question due to dramatic transformationsin economic, political, cultural priorities of receiving states. Competing stance of the European Union institutions (the EuropeanCommission) and of the nation-states influenced coordination and harmonization problems regarding responsibilities for integration ofimmigrants. Moreover, in order to ensure stability inside the receiving society, the member states started to introduce the so-called civicintegration requirements which are criticized due to violation of immigrants’ fundamental rights. The point of debate lies in the following:whether to select those immigrants who demonstrate compliance with values and identities of the receiving community? And secondly,should immigrant rights be sacrificed in the name of protecting national identity of the EU member states? Therefore, the present articleaims at examining a complicated nature of regulating immigrant integration policies. It analyzes approaches to civic integration programsin different EU countries, and the way, how they fit into models of immigrant incorporation. Transatlantic Relations The United States of America, Europe and NATO Ketevan CHAKHAVA Abstract The article displays the historical background of the transatlantic relations; the way the United States and Europe strengthened theirdiplomatic ties; how they manage to deal with the leading superpower-the Soviet Union; the emphasis is given to the establishment ofthe first organization- The League of Nations that was an American concept introduced by the 28th president of US Woodrow Wilson.The league dedicated its policy to cooperation and collective security. Actually, later on, the weakness of the league became quite evidentwhen it was not able to avoid the second tragedy of the world. Nowadays NATO serves the world as the defender of the ancient conceptof collective security.The article analysis the significance of NATO, the mutual cooperation of the United States and Europe in the period of Cold War; it alsoresearches US’s leadership position in the contemporary politics; its support and devotion to Europe in times of difficulties. Here arediscussed the variety of perspectives and interests of the US and Europe; How they realize their political goals; the differences in the wayof conflict resolution are examined;The article also reveals the balance of “hard” and “soft” powers; and finds answers to the following questions: why the United States isreferred as “hard power” and Europe as “soft power”; how they cooperate and influence he world politics; how the universal principlesand values that Europe together with the US carries out and attracts other nations shape the modern nations and political environment. Abstract The article examines the main legal issues regarding the real rights of realisation according to the Georgian law. The 1st part of the paperis dedicated to the pledge as a security right (the means of security of an obligation) on movables and transferable intangible property, bywhich the pledgee shall be entitled to satisfy his claim from the object of pledge in preference to the other creditors of the debtor. Accordingto manner of creation there are 2 kinds of pledge: legal pledge and contractual pledge.The 2nd part of the research is dedicated to the mortgage. Like pledge, mortgage is the means of security of an obligation, by which themortgagee shall be entitled to satisfy his claim from the object of mortgage in preference to the other creditors of the debtor. However,unlike pledge, the objects of mortgage are the immovable property as well as the rights (real rights) that are connected with the ownershipof a plot of land (for instance, superficies, usufruct); furthermore, mortgaging is not related with transfer of the object of mortgage intothe mortgagee’s possession, which enables the debtor (the owner) to use it. Abstract Author’s personal right – a right streaming from the vision that the work is the author’s “spiritual child”, declaring that the former shouldbe the one who always decides the non-economic fate of the latter, was a significant acquirement of last centuries’ legislation. However,international acknowledgement of this right in the Berne Convention and its incorporation in national laws created diversity in its applicationon a country to country basis. One of the most important issues about this right, debatable until today, is the question of its transferability.Civil and common law approaches disagree about the fact whether third persons should be able to acquire an author’s personalright via contractual agreement. The paper will address this issue, discuss the right from historical and comparative perspective, and try tocome up with the answer whether it is transferable by nature, and whether transferability via contractual arrangement should be allowed. Abstract The article analyzes the role of tariff setting for the Public-Private Partnership projects showing investment attractiveness of the projectand it’s financing. For this reason, we determine the main sources of project income as revenue guarantee for private investors, analyzeinternational experience of tariff regulation of infrastructure projects and determine its advantages and disadvantages. Also the main criteriafor setting tariffs of PPP projects are defined and proposed the way to improve tariff regulation in accordance with partner’s interestsand applicable law.
