The effects of quadratic drag and vertical throughflow on the onset of double diffusive convection in a non-Newtonian fluid saturated horizontal porous layer are investigated. A modified Forchheimer-extended Darcy model which takes inertia into account and viscoelastic effects is employed to describe the flow in a porous medium. The boundaries are considered to be impermeable but perfect conductors of heat and solute concentration. Conditions for the occurrence of stationary and oscillatory convection are obtained analytically using the Galerkin technique. In contrast to the single component system, it is found that a small amount of throughflow in either of its direction destabilizes the system.

The aim of this article is to establish some strong convergence theorems of three-step iteration process with errors for approximating common xed point for generalized asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive mappings and also establish a weak convergence theorem by using Opial's [11] condition for said iteration scheme and mappings in the framework of Banach spaces. The results presented in this paper extend and improve the corresponding results of [2, 8, 9, 13, 14, 15, 18] and many others.

The aim of this paper is to prove, mainly, a common xed point theorem for six self mappings of a Menger space using two weakly compatible pairs satisfying an implicit relation. This generalizes several known results including those of Kohli et.al [2] and Sastry et.al [7].
