  • Historia & Guerra is an open access, biannual, international scientific publication from Argentina, published in January and July. It is an initiative of the Grupo de Estudios Históricos sobre la Guerra (GEHiGue), Instituto de Historia Argentina y Americana “Dr. Emilio Ravignani”, unidad ejecutora Universidad de Buenos Aires/Consejo Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas y Técnicas. The journal aims to foster international academic exchange around war studies and disseminate innovative contributions to this field of studies produced within the framework of various historiographic traditions. Historia & Guerra is interested in studying the war phenomenon in a broad sense, covering wars and other armed conflicts from multiple angles of analysis (military, economic, diplomatic, political, social and cultural). Consequently, it is open to contributions from diverse perspectives of an empirical or theoretical-methodological nature. The spatial scope of the contributions is wide and covers a variety of geographical scales, from local to transnational contexts in which armed conflicts occur. Case studies on Latin America in general and Argentina in particular are especially welcome. In terms of temporal scope, it focuses on wars and conflicts that have shaped the contemporary world, from the "long 19th century" to nowadays.
