The Journal of the Judiciary Section of Rio de Janeiro is a quarterly periodical that presents the academic-scientific production of researchers from all over the country and abroad. Research, production and dissemination of new knowledge is valued.
Legal works are published, in dialogue with social issues. Therefore, Revista da SJRJ seeks to privilege interdisciplinary approaches that allow a broader understanding of Law.
Target Audience:
a) faculty and students of the Stricto Sensu Graduate Programs in Law and related areas;
b) lawyers and law students;
c) magistrates of the judiciary sections, TRFs and higher courts;
d) legal-scientific community in general.
Focus and scope:
The Journal of the Judiciary Section of Rio de Janeiro proposes to be a space dedicated to the dialogue between reflection and the application of Law. In this sense, considering the multiplicity of approaches and approaches regarding the issues presented to researchers and legal practitioners, the approach to the legal object as an element of complex investigative interest is privileged.
Both academic research - whether in its dogmatic or empirical aspects - and the professional activity of the judge allow for different, but complementary, readings of the legal universe. By disseminating current and interdisciplinary trends and perspectives on Law, this publication especially contemplates the results of academic research on the legal, theoretical and/or practical phenomenon, in dialogue with social issues. This multiplicity of theoretical-methodological approaches is open to reflections from various ranges - such as, for example, the use of law by judges and citizens; the clarification of relations with civil society based on the contemporary debate on democracy and citizenship; and critical reflection on their practices and discourses.
We seek to adapt the publication to the requirements of the Qualis Program, from CNPq, which evaluates academic publications across the country.
