CALIBRE, Braziliense Journal of Engineering and Applied Physics, is an open access nonprofit quarterly publication of Centro Universitário ICESP and aims to bridge and integrate the intellectual, methodological and remarkable diverseness of engineering and cross-disciplinary physics scholarship, encouraging a constant and productive dialogue between theoretical scholars and experimentalists. Contributions which promote the exchange of ideas between practicing educators and researchers are welcomed, being accepted articles written in Portuguese, English, French and Spanish, in Microsoft Word or Latex (preferably the latter). Professors are encouraged to guide scientific initiation and extension works, preparing them for publication in partnership with their scholars. There are no publication fees. This journal provides a medium for dissemination of theoretical and experimental studies and reviews related to (but not restricted to) technological areas such as civil engineering, environmental engineering, production engineering, software engineering, thermal systems engineering, control engineering, biomedical engineering, architecture, mechanical engineering, as well as scientific researches in acoustics, optics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, physical chemistry, superconductivity, geophysics, biophysics, quantum mechanics, astrophysics, and so on.
