The article describes the results of use of tools "Trace" and "Locus" in dynamic mathematics software. Examples of solutions of stereometric locus problems to construct static traces in software GeoGebra5.0, Cabri3D and plane geometry problems to construct both static traces and traces that are perceived as independent dynamic objects in software MathKit and GeoGebra are given. Attention is focuses on the differences of the actions of these tools. Author notes the possibility of forming a logical and constructive thinking with their use.

Physical qualifications of group rooms are highly important in terms of child development during preschool education. First of all, the required space should be provided in order to create ideal conditions in a group room. The standards of the required space for a child in group rooms vary among countries. It is stated that in Turkey minimum 1.5 m2 space per child in group rooms is enough. This paper studies whether this standard rate, which is stated as insufficient according to various studies, is seen enough by the users; hence, 30 children and their teachers from three different kindergartens were interviewed. It is seen that the standards in Turkey which are considered as sufficient are actually not enough according to the comments of children and teachers. The purpose of this study is to present an example constructed on the idea that the standards should be defined according to the experiences of users, so to be able to reach the right solutions which meet the needs of users.

Intellectual capital is a concept that is achieving researcher’s attention day by day. The main purpose of this research study is to explore the role and relationship of intellectual capital and its three components on the performance and efficient working of universities in Pakistan. Education sector especially universities were selected because it plays a critical role for the development and growth of knowledge intensive sector. So in this research study 3 components of intellectual capital such as human capital, structural capital and relational capital were taken as independent variables and institution’s performance is taken as dependent variable. In this research study a structured questionnaire is adopted from the past research studies and 800 responses have been collected from various public and private university students in Pakistan. Reliability analysis is conducted to check the reliability of constructs and Pearson’s correlation is applied to explore the relationship of three components of IC on institution performance. Results indicate that all the three components show a significant relationship with performance but among the three components, the relation of human capital is more prominent.

The article contains general information about the use of specialized mathematics software in the preparation of math teachers. The authors indicate the reasons to study the mathematics software. In particular, they analyze the possibility of presenting basic mathematical courses using mathematical computer tools from both a teacher and a student, argue in favour of using software instead of traditional paper-and-board style. The special course of the study of mathematics software (main tasks of the course are disclosed; knowledge and skills that students should possess on completion of their studies are dedicated; content of computer workshop is detailed) is briefly described. Also the authors give a detailed solution and its methodic basis of typical problem with the use of the SCM Maple. The typical errors which made by students in the use of specialized mathematics packages are characterized. Author’s own experience of teaching computer workshop of the study of mathematical computer tools by the students of Sumy State Pedagogical Makarenko University is presented and analyzed.

The purpose of the study is to discuss e-learning design strategies which can be used for multimedia projects as a design model. Recent advances in instructional technologies have been found to be very important in the design of training courses by using rapid instructional design (ID) approaches. The approaches were developed to use in training and developing e-learning projects as well as multimedia design tools. For this reason, this paper will clarify the basic e-learning development techniques, such as ID processes, and the present innovative multimedia design models in addition to traditional instruction design models. In this approach, rapid course development techniques were presented and considered as other ways of e-learning design techniques, such as job training, rapid synchronous e-learning, rapid asynchronous e-learning and online learning with multimedia design models. In the literature, developments in and considerations of multimedia learning are scrutinized. To design effective, efficient and engaging multimedia learning environments, instructional and meaningful e-learning models, which can be defined as integrated e-learning and multimedia projects design models, were developed and discussed. In this paper, firstly, rapid e-learning training development strategies and their characteristics are defined. Secondly, ID systems’ stages are presented as a generic model that includes several phases, such as analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. In this process, these ID phases were adapted into e-learning and multimedia learning design by using ID models and approaches. As a result, the paper is based on research findings and resources in the field of instructional technologies and e-learning design tools for multimedia learning in order to indicate rapid instructional development strategies more effectively.

The purpose of this study is to discuss strategies for developing integrated e-learning (IEL) courseware based on instructional design and technology (IDT) models and approaches as well as new discussions of e-learning. For this purpose, the study begins with the selection of one or more IDT models to conduct an e-courseware design including IEL modules based on instructional strategies and improvements. The authors discuss the strategies and steps that a design team should follow in designing integrated e-courseware, which gives way to effective e-learning with new variables such as job performance and learning. The steps include the development of content, units and modules for an IEL course. To recap, our purpose is to combine the necessary IDT models’ strategies for the pedagogical design of an IEL. Powerful IDT models are also discussed so as to meet the very high expectations of IEL with new ideas and new responsibilities in the e-learning process. To develop high quality IEL courseware, we will explain the integrated e-courseware design steps and their practice in order to improve learning tasks, complex cognitive skills, attitudes and competences in the e-learning process, as well as defining job performance and the business environment. At the end of the study, the IEL dimensions, including pedagogical, technological and organizational dimensions, and the main barriers to implementation, including perspectives such as student, teacher-designer, learning materials, job performance, the next generation of e-learning in business and social learning, and context setting, will be discussed and presented.

Problem Statement: Moving schooling age to an earlier time as a result of the transition to the practice of 12-year non-continuous compulsory education in 2012-2013 academic year has brought the discussions on whether students’ readiness is sufficient or not. However, the teachers’ readiness is also an issue as important as a student’s readiness and has to be questioned. Considering the children’s developmental characteristics, personal differences, their interests and needs, the first 12 weeks of the first grade in primary school are spared for adaptation and preparation practices. These game-based practices are supportive in all areas for the students who start to school at an earlier age and they ease the adaptation process for them. Nevertheless, it has not been considered in detail what primary school teachers, who are responsible for designing, implementing and carrying out these game-based practices, think about game-based education, and how they feel about it. Purpose of Study: The purpose of this study is to identify the teachers’ opinions on configuring primary school first grade practices with games as proposed in the new program after reorganization of Turkish Education System as “4+4+4”. Methods: This is a descriptive survey model study aiming to find out the attitudes of 157 (106 female, 51 male) primary school teachers towards the construction of primary school first grade practices with games in terms of various variables. These teachers are working at schools connected to Isparta Provincial Directorate of National Education. According to the reliability analysis on the data obtained by personal information form and teacher questionnaire, Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient is found out as .81. Findings and Results: The data obtained from this research were analyzed with SPSS 15.0 Windows package program. In the analysis of data, independent t test, One Way ANOVA, frequency analysis and descriptive statistics were used. The predetermined level of (p<0,05) was taken as basis for significance. Research findings show that there is a significant difference between the participants’ level of attitudes towards teaching first reading and writing with games according to their gender. Moreover, no significant difference found between teachers’ attitude levels towards game-based education according to their professional seniority, the schools’ socio-economic levels, their students’ pre-schooling backgrounds and the number of students in the classroom. Conclusions and Recommendations: The results show that the attitudes of primary school teachers towards game-based education in teaching first reading and writing are lower than the average. The reason for this can be interpreted as the teachers’ lack of experience on game-based education, since the research findings show that teachers, in fact, believe in the importance of game-based teaching and need games in all phases of first reading and writing. Therefore, books that enrich the first reading and writing process, show guidance and have sample applications can be suggested to the primary school teachers. Especially, hands-on trainings to enhance knowledge and skills on game-based education can also be very fruitful.
