MUSEUMS OF THE REPUBLIC OF ALTAI AS HOLDERS AND INTERPRETERS HERITAGE OF COMPOSERS

In the Republic of Altai, the heritage of composers is stored in National museum named after
A.V. Anokhin, Museum of Stone in village Maima, Maima district, Local History Department’s “Museum of
Russian antiquity,” Secondary School No. 3 named after V.F. Khokholkov in the village Maima, Maima district,
in Museum of the Tozyyakov dynasty in the village Uznezya, Chemal district.
The National museum named after A.V. Anokhin is the heritage of composers A.V. Anokhin, A.M. Ilyin,
B.M. Shulgin, A.A. Toziyakov, V.F. Hoholkov, V.E. Konchev. The beginning of composers’ personal funds
formation dates back to the 1930s and continue to this day. The use of materials in research and publishing
activities began in the 1980–1990s and it was associated with the study of life and work of the first director
of the museum A.V. Anokhin. The analysis and publication of composers А.М. Ilyin, В.М. Shulgin,
V.F. Hoholkov materials are conducted from 2014. The heritage of composers is used in the expositions,
exhibitions, cultural and educational activities (excursions, lectures, museum lessons, meetings, musical
and ethnographic evenings).
The Museum of Stone in village Maima, Maima district, is a museum of the municipal district,
a holder of V.F. Hoholkov’s heritage. It includes original documents and electronic archive received from the
V.F. Hoholkov and his wife L.F. Khokholkova in the 2000s. Some of them are published in the book “My Altai,
I Hug You.” The materials are widely used in the organization and conduct of Khokholkov readings.
The “Museum of Russian Antiquity” is a museum of an educational institution. Since the 2000s,
it is the custodian of evidence of life and work of composer V.F. Khokholkov, which were transferred from
L.F. Khokholkova. They are used in the research work of learners, expositions and being the basis for cultural
and educational work.
The Museum of the Tozyyakov Dynasty in the village Uznezya, Chemal district, is a private museum.
Among the materials, photos of A.V. Anokhin, memories of him, as well as photographs depicting composers
A.M. Ilyin, B.M. Shulgin, A.A. Toziyakov, V.F. Khokholkov are stored. These materials are partially published
in the journal “Kan-Altai,” book “Children of Cruel Time (about the Toziyakov family).” The information
enclosed in the museum objects is used during excursions and events.
