Objective:to determine the relationship between Internet addiction and family functionality in students of a University of Lima Norte. Materials and methods: cross-sectional correlational study. The sample consisted of 364 university students. The dependent variable was Internet addiction. The Chi-square, U of Mann-Whitney and Kruskal Wallis tests were used for the bivariate analysis. Results: of the sample, more than half corresponded to the female sex (58.2%). The average age was 19.8, most of them were 15 to 19 years old and belonged to the Psychologydegree (39.3%). On the other hand, Internet addiction had an average of 20.1. Regarding family functionality (cohesion), 31.6% corresponded to the cohesion and 29.7% to the cohesion connected. In family functionality (adaptability) 40.7% belonged to structured adaptability. It was evidenced that the highest average values of Internet addiction corresponded to dispersed family cohesion (27.9), rigid family adaptability (23.7) and chaotic family adaptability (20.8).Conclusions: internet addiction is related to family functionality. University students from families with dispersed cohesion and with rigid adaptability as well as chaotic were associated with the presence of Internet addiction. The results of this research indicate the need for promotional preventive programs that promote adequate family functionality.

Objective: to determine the efficacy of the teaching of the disease process in the therapeutic behavior and the level of knowledge in hypertensive patients of hospitalization wards of a public hospital in Lima. Materials and methods: a quasi-experimental design study with an intervention method (pre and post) with a one-week follow-up was used. The sample consisted of 40 patients between 60 and 85 years old living in Lima. Results: significant changes were found in the post intervention groups, improving from 3.54 to 3.72 in terms of the therapeutic behavior variable in the control group compared to the intervention group that had a greater increase from 2.98 to 4.06, while in the variable level of knowledge, the control group presented an improvement of 3.0 to 3.02 while in the intervention group there was an improvement of 2.56 to 3.56. Conclusion: the intervention influenced the increase in both the level of knowledge and therapeutic behavior. Likewise, it had a positive effect on the indicators of the main variables (recommended precautions, normal range of systolic and diastolic blood pressure).

Objective:to determine if there is an association between the performance in the area of physical education and the type of footprint in Lima schoolchildren. Materialsand methods: The study was cross-sectional. The sample consistedin 217 schoolchildren from6 to12 years old. The study variables were: academic performance in the physical educationarea, typeof footprint and Hernández Corvo's index and two sociodemographic variables (sex and age). Chi-squared, tests Kruskal Wallis, Spearman and multiple linear regression were used. Results: the average of the academic performance was 15.69 and Hernández Corvo's index was 0.52 in both feet. Both in the right (54.38%) and left (58.99%) feet, a higher percentage was found in the type of plant footprint. There was no relation between the academic performance and the type of footprint (p = 0.26) and being woman is related to have foot with a cabo(right = 65.52%, left = 75.86%). In the multiple analysis to the academic performance adjustment, Hernández Corvo ́s index and age was significant. Conclusions: It is evident that there is norelationship between academic performance in of physical education area and the type of footprint. Onthe other hand, being a woman is related to have foot with a cabo. Likewise, a trend in the increase of academic performance is shown through linear regression analysis. Due to the low variability of academic performance averages, it is recommended to usean accurate instrument to measure grades with practical performance indicators and other precise instruments to measure the footprint.

Objective:to determine the factors associated with violent crimes in men and women in prisons at a national level.Materials and methods: a secondary analysis of the 2016 National Penitentiary Population Census was carried out. For the bivariate analysis, the Chi-square test was applied. Results: 64.6% of men and 94.6% of women committed aggravated robbery, while the remaining 35.4% and 5.4% of men and women, respectively, were admitted for sexual crimes. The main variables associated with violent crimes in males were: being in early adulthood (p=0.000), being single (p=0.000), not having used weapons (p=0.000), not having been in a youth center (p=0.000), not having consumed drugs hours prior to the crime (p=0.010)and having consumed alcohol (p=0.000). On the other hand, for women, the associated variables were: being in adolescence or early adulthood (p=0.000), considering that she was discriminated against due to have a criminal record (p=0.020) and not having used a weapon during the commission of the crime (p=0.000). Conclusions: there are many factors associated with violent crime for men. Among them, alcohol consumption is an important associated factor that is a predictor of aggressive behavior. Other psychological factors should be studied in depth in order to approach the phenomenon considering its multicausality.

Today the subject of disability is, in fact, an unavoidable problem for the quality of social and health policies. If in one hand, there is widespread hospitalization of many phases of life, on the other, there is a constant global demand forassistance, inclusion, and participation perceived. At the same time, States are facing this situation from their different political systems and their uneven availability of funds. In this scenario, a turning point -by its universal character -was determined by the introduction of the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health(ICF) as instrument wanted by WHO to classify the functioning (more than health) of individuals (1). Disability, according to this model, cannot be onlyconsidered as a matter subjected to the category of medical care but becomes also a social and political problem. In the logic of the "bio-psycho-social" model that the classification drives, in fact, disability is not given only by an specific health condition (product of a disease or impairment), but by the way in which that condition relates to the environment in which the subject is inserted, which can act as barrier or as a facilitator of its functioning.

Objective: determine the factors associated with knowledge about the rights of people with disabilities. Methodology: a secondary analysis of the National Specialized Survey on Disability 2012 was carried out. In the bivariate analysis, the Chi-square test was usedfor the categorical variables, while in the numerical tests the U de Mann-Whitney test. Likewise, Poisson regression was used to calculate the Prevalence Ratiowith 95% confidence intervals. Results: the main factors associated with knowledge about the rights of people with disabilities were: having a high educational level (PR: 10.20, 95% CI: 7.15-14.56), acquiring a chronic disease (PR: 1.18, 95% CI: 1.13-1.24), be employed (PR: 1.83, 95% CI: 1.51-2.24) and be registered and have a certificate in CONADIS(PR: 4.87, 95% CI: 4.58-5.18). However, one factor that contributes to ignorance was having a hearing or intellectual disability (PR: 0.65, 95% CI: 0.60-0.70). Conclusion: having a high educational level, being an employee, having health insurance and being registered with CONADIS are associated with knowledge about the rights of people with disabilities. While having a hearing or intellectual disability limits knowledge about the rights.

Cervicalgiais a major health problem and one of the causes of disabilitythat generatelimitinginthe performance of daily activities. Health centers in Peru provide alternative ischemic compression treatments. However, the efficacy of ischemic compression with stainless steel spheres has not been sufficiently proven. The objective was to determine the existence of the analgesic effect using ischemic compression with stainless steel spheres in patients with cervical disability. The steel balls were applied at the painful points in the cervical area, three times a week, continuously for 25 minutes per session to 50 patients. Patients with mild and moderate cervical disability were included. A difference of 5.7 points in the visual analogue scale was found between the average of the first evaluation (8.26) and the final one (2.56), this result being statistically significant (p <0.001).

Disability is the result of the interaction of health problems, personal factors, and environmental factors. For this reason, it turns out to be very variable, as well as the disadvantages it produces in the person. In Peru, only 20% of people with disabilities have a job. The educational gaps, access to health care, social and economic benefits and social inclusion are partiallyknown. One of the main problems of the population with disabilities is that it is still invisible. Fortunately, due to international and national policies, more and more people with different disabilities are becoming visible and feasible to identify and consult with respect to their needs. In Peru, various actions are carried out regarding the care of people with disabilities. However, few portfolios of services offer comprehensive care with encouraging results, such as the Social Health Insurance, which includes health, social and economic benefits.

Down syndrome is one of the main causes of perinatal mortality in preterm infants with low birth weight. The present case report presents a preterm newborn, abandoned by his mother, who was hospitalized in a neonatology service of a public hospital in LimaNorte for presenting trisomy 21, low weight, discarding of syphilis and risk of hypoglycaemia. In view of this situation, it was proposed to carry out nursing interventions to a premature newborn with Down syndrome, prioritizing the improvement of nutrition and / or nutrition. For this, a series of nursing diagnoses were selected and prioritized through the negative aspects of the assessment. The plan of care was executed in three months until its discharge using the 13 domains of the NANDA-I taxonomy II, classification of the diagnoses, interventions and nursing results. The role of the nurse was to properly select a series of interventions that could improve nursing diagnoses: Interruption of breastfeeding, nutritional imbalance lower than body needs, risk of unstable glucose and risk of delayed development. It is recommended that the nursing professional perform interventions that favor a good feeding to the premature newborn with DS to prevent low weight or other nutritional or metabolic alteration. Likewise, training in individualized attention to a newborn with disability.

The impact of the news of having a child with a malformation or disability can trigger in mothers problems that affect both their psychological and spiritual health. These problems increase when parents are unaware of the disease or do not have the necessary resources to face this situation. This case report is about a 40-year-old mother who suffers and expresses embarrassment, since her daughter presents bilateral bot foot, achondroplasia and cleft palate. The model of the 13 domains was applied for the assessment according to the positive and negative aspects of the NANDA taxonomy, of which four diagnoses are prioritized:spiritual suffering, impotence, ineffective coping and deficient knowledge. Taking into account the diagnoses, it was decided to make a nursing care plan to promote psychospiritual welfare. At the end of the process, a slight improvement in psychospiritual well-being was observed. It must be taken into account that in order to improve these aspects of the mother, more interventions and accompaniments are needed and even a referral with the corresponding specialist. Emphasizes that nurses are key to identifying these aspects in people, since many times it is the first contact with them in a health facility and, therefore, their work also involves the promotion of psychospiritual well-being.

The health system in Peru corresponds to a mixed system because the goods come from both the public and private sectors. Funding sources emanate from tax collection (Sub public sector), contributions (Social Security) and private insurance. Although the universal assurance process has been consolidated, it is not yet complete for the entire Peruvian population. Among its main weaknesses are the overlapping of networks, absence of complementarity of services and continuity of care, and impossibility of comprehensive care (1). Giving complexity to the above are the health risks that are widely distributed in the population. However, individuals differ in the magnitude of the risk they run, rather than in whether they are exposed to the risk or not. Consequently, the binary categorization in "exposed" and "unexposed" fails to reflect the importance of continuous relationships between risk factors and disease (2).

Objective: to determine the factors associated with professional quality of life in hospital nurses. Methodology:The study was explanatory, transversal. The sample consisted of 92 nurses. The dependent variable was professional quality of life. Chi-square and T-Student tests were used for bivariate analysis. Poisson regression was used to measure the strength of association by calculating prevalence ratio. Results: 51% had a high quality. Nurses working in surgery A are less likely to have a high professional quality of life (PR: 0.26). On the other hand, those who work in a morning shift are more likely to have a high workload (PR: 30.38). Conclusions: Labor in the surgery service A is associated with the overall low CVP. Likewise, we found significant associations between labor factors and overall CVP dimensions. These results contribute to the development of strategies to improve the factors related to the quality of professional life of in nurses.

The objective was to determine the levels of knowledge and practice on biosecurity measures in the peripheral vein channeling in 39 nursing students of a private university in Lima Norte. Percentages and chi -squared were used with statistical significance less than or equal to 0.05. 54% had a high knowledge on biosecurity measures in the peripheral venous canalization and 74% performed an adequate practice. Having a fairly adequate practice on biosafety measures inthe peripheral vein channeling was associated with having a high knowledge of it in nursing students. It is suggested that the students execute the practical guide, attend the trainings and perform their hospital practices on an ongoingbasis.

The objective of the research was to determine the relationship between perceived parenting styles and depressive symptomatology in high school students in the district of San Martin de Porres - Lima. The sample consisted of 281 students, of whom 51.2% were men and 48.8% were women, 12 to 17 years old. For the bivariate analysis the distribution of the data was evaluated through the Kolgomorov-Smirnov and Kruskal-Wallis statistic. There is a statistical relationship between perceived parental styles and depressive symptomatology. 42.4% of the sample presented depressive symptomatology. The predominant parental style is control without affection in both mothers (27.9%) and parents (26.3%). The depressive symptomatology is related to age and sex. The interaction of parents and children is a determining factor of the emotional state, and may lead to depressive symptoms. These symptoms may be confused with the psychosocial characteristics of adolescence.

Objective: To explain the effects of alcohol use on bullying in a group of secondary school students in Lima and Callao. Materials and methods: A secondary analysis of the data collected in the IV National Study: Drug Prevention and Consumption in Secondary Students - 2012, was carried out by DEVIDA. The sample was 6,125 students between the ages of 11 and 20 who attended the first and fifth years of high school in public and private schools in Lima and Callao. The dependent variable was bullying considering its roles: exposure, victimization and aggressiveness. The independent variable was alcohol use. Odds ratios (ORs) were calculated to estimate the strength of associations between variables by ordinal regression. Results: Multivariate analysis reported an increase in exposure to bullying associated with alcohol consumption in the last month (OR = 1.52, 95% CI: 1.26-1.82) and an increase in aggressiveness through bullying (OR = 1.50; 95% CI: 1.24-1.82). Conclusions: There is a significant association between drinking alcohol and the different roles of bullying. However, the consumption of alcohol exposes mainly to the role of aggressor, likewise being male. The presence of some type of disability is associated with the increase of bullying in its three roles.

The objective was to determine the relationship between addiction to social networks and depressive symptomatology in students of psychology at a University of North Lima. Cross-sectional correlational research. Chi-square was used for the statistical analysis. The following instruments were used: Social Networking Addiction Questionnaire (ARS) and the Beck-Adapted Depression Inventory (BDI-IIA). 38.3% of the respondents reported a very high level of social network addiction presenting a severe level of depressive symptomatology. There is a significant correlation between the dimensions of social network addiction and depressive symptomatology. There is a direct relationship in the increase of the levels of both variables in the sample studied. Likewise, an initial course of study is associated with severe depressive symptomatology. Social networks could be used by this population group to cover low self-esteem, compensate for the lack of social skills and isolation usually connected to depressive symptomatology.

Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is associated with a number of infections and certain neoplasms in an advanced stage of the disease, affecting the quality of life of those who suffer. The present case report is a 43-year-old male patient with a history of treatment for AIDS and tuberculosis (TB) who is hospitalized in a national hospital in North Lima due to complications with the development of his disease. Given the aforementioned problem, in the present case report it was proposed to carry out the nursing interventions, focusing on improving the quality of life of the patient focused on biopsychosocial well-being, for which four real diagnoses were developed as a priority. The care plan was implemented for two weeks, using the 13 domains of NANDA-I Taxonomy II, according to positive and negative aspects and the Taxonomy and classification of nursing diagnoses, interventions and outcomes: Interventions Classification ) And Nursing Outcomes Classification (NOC) II. Interventions improved negative aspects prioritized as diagnoses: "Nutritional imbalance: Intake less than bodily needs", "Anxiety", "Hopelessness", and "Low situational self-esteem", in the same way it was possible to improve the quality of Life of the patient with the promotion of their well-being, and satisfaction at this stage of the disease.

On 17 november 2016, the 6th World Prematurity Day has been celebrated. The prevalence of preterm birth is increasing worldwide. Every year, at least 1 over 10 babies are born preterm. This means 15 million preterm babies/year. Moreover, the prematurity is the second largest direct cause of deaths in children under five (1).In the last twenty-thirty years, technological advances in neonatology have been developed and have improved the survival rate of preterm babies and critically ill ones.

The data were analyzed using the correlation of Pearson and Tau-b Kendall. The 38.3% of adolescents had a normal diagnosis, of which 55.6% were within the range of endomorphism. Amoderate and statistically significantrelationshipwasfoundbetweenthe somatotype and BMI variables. It can be concluded that BMI is an indicator with low affinity to determine the amount of fat mass in body composition.

The respiratory distress syndrome is the main cause of morbidity in preterm infants because in this postnatal periodthereisaphysiologicalandanatomical pulmonaryimmaturitythatpreventsadequate breathing and gas exchange. The present case report dealswithapretermnewbornof36weekswho presentedalowbirthweightof2280ganda respiratory difficulty that was evidenced by tachypnea, dyspnea and hypoxia. This physiological instability of theprematureinfantrequiredhospitalization,a situation that led to an interruption of the affective bondbetweenthemotherandnewborn.Inthe assessment of the case, it was decided to planing a nursing care with a humanistic approach. For this purpose,fourrelevantdiagnoseswereproposed: “Ineffective respiratory pattern”, “Ineffective feeding pattern”, “Anxiety” and “Risk of Deterioration of the bond”. The care plan was executed during the first five days of life of the newborn using the NANDA-I Taxonomy II positive and negative domains of the 13 domainsandthestandardizedlanguageofthe diagnoses, interventions and results of Taxonomy II. At the end of the process, it was possible to improve breathingandfeedingpatterns,thusreducing complications in the health of the preterm infant. It was also possible to strengthen the bond between the mother and the newborn achieving biopsychosocial well-being and enhance the maternal role.
