: Renewable energy plays a vital role for the development of a country. Energy can be extracted from a number of ambient conditions like vibration, solar, thermal gradient etc. The maximum power from these systems can be extracted by using MPPT along with power converters. However, conventional maximum power point tracking (MPPT) method for solar cells, are complex and cannot be utilized due to their cost and power requirements. In proposed system the performances of DC-DC converter assisted by MPPT and the performance is characterized by and Perturb and Observe algorithm along with Raspberry Pi controller using boost converter by varying the duty cycle of the boost converter. The main advantages of P&O algorithm are simple in structure, with both stand-alone and grid-connected systems, MPP tracking can be done with very high efficiency.

This paper deals with modeling and simulation of three stage interleaved boost converter (ILBC) based induction motor drive fed from wind generator. The output of wind generator is converted into DC using a three phase uncontrolled rectifier. This voltage is boosted by using ILBC with reduced current ripple with three stages ILBC is proposed for this purpose. The output of the ILBC is converted into three phase balanced ac using a three phase inverter, which feeds a three phase induction motor. This paper proposes the development of Secure system for secret data communication through encrypted data hiding in ECG signals. The proposed encryption technique used to encrypt the secret data into unreadable form and enhances the safety of secret carrier information by making the information inaccessible to any intruder having a random method. After data encryption, the data hider will hide the secret data into the ECG signal coefficients. Although encryption achieves certain security effects, they make the secret messages unreadable and unnatural or meaningless. This is the reason a new security approach called reversible data hiding arises. It’s art of hiding the data in another transmission medium to get secret communication. It does not replace cryptography but rather boosts the security using its obscurity features. Here the DWT(Discrete Wavelet Transform) is used to decompose an ECG signal to different frequency sub bands. Hence, patients ECG signal and other readings such as blood pressure, glucose reading, position,etc., are collected at home by using Body Sensor Networks (BSNs) will be transmitted and diagnosed by remote patient monitoring systems. At the same cost that the patient privacy is protected against intruders while data traverse in open network and stored in hospital servers. In this project, to fulfill HIPAA act, a Discrete Wavelet Transform based steganography technique has been proposed. A wireless sensor network typically includes a huge number of low-powered, less-cost sensing devices called as sensors with restricted computational, memory and communication assets. The sensor nodes consume energy during sensing, processing and transmission. In wireless sensor network power and energy resources are limited. Existing work in the literature uses PCA (Principle Component Analysis) and CS(Compressed Sensing) strategies. This work presents the outline of K-means clustering algorithm and enhanced technique applied on K-means clustering. The K-means clustering is the basic algorithm to find the groups of data or clusters in the dataset. To find the similar groups of data the initial selection of cetroid is done and the Euclidean distance is calculated from cetroid to all other data points, and based on the smaller Euclidean distance the data points are assigned to that centroid. The initial point selection effects on the results of the algorithm, both in the number of clusters found and their centroids. Methods to enhance the k-means clustering algorithm are discussed. With the help of these methods efficiency, accuracy, performance and computational time are improved. So, to improve the performance of clusters the Normalization which is a pre-processing stage is used to enhance the Euclidean distance by calculating more nearer centers, which result in reduced number of iterations which will reduce the computational time as compared to k-means clustering. By applying this enhanced technique one can build a new proposed algorithm which will be more efficient, supports faster data retrieval from databases, makes the data suitable for analysis and prediction, accurate and less time consuming than previous work.

The researcher is motivated to develop an alternative solution for manual cutting or engraving that could set out to give artists, illustrators, designers and everyone in between have an easy access to laser cutting so they could make their designs a reality. The developed prototype uses 2.5W Blue-Violet and an Arduino NANO that serves as the brain of the robot which the application involves firing a laser which cuts by melting, burning or vaporizing a material. The developed laser cutting robot have passed technical evaluation and testing for the overall functionality and with regards to the results, it indicates that the laser cutting robot is in a good quality as an instructional tool.

A group key generation algorithm investigates group secret key generation problems for different types of wireless networks, by exploiting physical layer characteristics of wireless channels. A new group key generation strategy with low complexity is proposed, which combines the wellestablished point-to-point pair wise key generation technique, the multisegment scheme, and the onetime pad. In particular, this group key generation process is studied for three types of communication networks: 1) A three-node network; 2) A multi node ring network; and 3) A multi node mesh network. Three group key generation algorithms are developed for these communication networks, respectively. The analysis8 shows that the first two algorithms yield optimal group key rates, whereas the third algorithm achieves the optimal multiplexing gain. Next, for the first two types of networks, we address the time allocation problem in the channel estimation step to maximize the group key rates. This nonconvex max – min time allocation problem is first reformulated into a series of geometric programming, and then, a single-condensation method based iterative algorithm is proposed. Numerical results are also provided to validate the performance of the proposed key generation algorithms and the time allocation algorithm.

This project proposes the performance of a 4- switch, 3-phase inverter fed induction motor (IM) drive system for high performance industrial drive systems. In the proposed realization, instead of a usual 6-switch three-phase inverter (SSTPI) a 4-switch three-phase inverter (FSTPI) is used. A cost effective FSTPI fed IM drive using Field-Oriented-Control and Space-Vector PWM controller (with new control SVPWM approach) is implemented as a simulation model. This reduces the cost of the inverter, the switching losses, and the complexity of the control algorithms and interface circuits to generate 6 PWM logic signals. Furthermore, the proposed control approach reduces the computation for real-time implementation. In this paper, a simulation model of the drive system is developed and analyzed in order to verify the effectiveness of the approach. A performance comparison of the proposed IS3P inverter fed drive with a conventional 6S3P inverter fed drive is also mode in terms of speed response and total harmonic distortion (THI)) of the stator current. Simulation results show that the proposed drive system provides a fast speed response and good disturbance rejection capability. The designed inverter fed IM drive is found suitable considering its cost decrease.

This method gives a new algorithm to detect nonlinearities in ECG signals and to determine the order of non-linearity. The ECG bispectrum is analysed and the bicoherence index is calculated to identify non-linearity. The diagonal slice of the polycoherence index of any order, calculated using the diagonal slice of the polyspectrum of the same order and the power spectrum, is proposed as an estimator. The possibility of higher-order non-linearities in ECG signals is investigated using these slices. Physiological and pathological cases have been studied. The polyspectrum and polycoherence slices indicate the presence of higher-order phase-coupled harmonics, in the physiological cases, which is attributed to higher order non-linearities. Differences between physiological and pathological cases are assessed and a decrease in the non-linearity order could be correlated with pathological conditions.

Our proposed model called Joint Sentiment Topic (JST) model to detect sentiments and topics simultaneously from text. This model is based on Gibbs sampling algorithm. Besides, unlike supervised approaches to opinion mining which often fail to produce good performance when shifting to other domains, the semi-supervised nature of JST makes it highly portable to other domains. JST model performs better when compared to existing supervised approaches.

Using this model, we minimize the energy consumption per information bit by finding the optimum packet length and the optimum number of RAKE fingers at the receiver for different transmission distances, using Differential Phase-shift keying (DBPSK), Differential Pulse-position Modulation (DPPM) and On-off Keying (OOK), with coherent and non-coherent detection. Recently many Bio-enzymes have emerged as cost effective stabilizers for soil stabilization. One such bio-enzyme, Terrazyme, has been used in the present work to study its effect on the CBR value of the Black Cotton soil. The tests conducted in this project are specific gravity, plastic limit, liquid limit, CBR and standard proctor test. In this project, local soil was mixed with Terrazyme with different dosages i.e. 0.25 ml per 100 ml of water, 0.50 ml per 100 ml of water, 0.75 ml per 100 ml of water, and 1 ml per 100 ml of water was mixed subjected to various tests as mentioned. All the testing programs have given optimum value at 0.5 ml terrazyme per 100ml of water. The pavement thickness values reduced by improving the sub grade strength (CBR value).The cost analysis done for this project by using CBR values of the experiments with the reference of pavement design catalogue MORD specification table. The pavement construction value is reduced 30% of the total cost with the help of my laboratory testing results.

With the increase in load demand, the Renewable Energy Sources (RES) are increasingly connected in the distribution systems which utilizes power electronic Converters/Inverters. This paper presents a single-stage, three-phase grid connected solar photovoltaic (SPV) system. The proposed system is dual purpose, as it not only feeds extracted solar energy into the grid but it also helps in improving power quality in the distribution system. The presented system serves the purpose of maximum power point tracking (MPPT), feeding SPV energy to the grid, harmonics mitigation of loads connected at point of common coupling (PCC) and balancing the grid currents. The SPV system uses a three-phase voltage source converter (VSC) for performing all these functions. An improved linear sinusoidal tracer (ILST)-based control algorithm is proposed for control of VSC. In the proposed system, a variable dc link voltage is used for MPPT. An instantaneous compensation technique is used incorporating changes in PV power for fast dynamic response. The SPV system is first simulated in MATLAB along with Simulink and simpower system toolboxes.

An Oil Extraction Machine was developed for extracting oil from Cashew Nut Shell. The extracting unit consists of an auger with decreasing pitches. Two different samples of cashew nut shell were used: old cashew nut shells that have been decorticated more than two months and new shells that have been decorticated less than two months. After the performance test, the machine was tested at different auger speeds. Results showed that the designed machine was able to extract oil from Cashew Nut Shell with a good performance: Extraction efficiency of over 80% was obtained and the machine has extraction rate of 38.66 kg/hr. of oil and throughput capacity of 100.33 kg/hr.

The characterization studies were carried out using FTIR and XRD.The dyes experimented in the present study are Methyl Orange(MO),Phenol Red(PR), Safarian Stain Powder(SSP) and Bromo Cresol Green(BCG).The optimum pH for PR-5,MO-4,SSP-3 and for BCG-6 were formed. The positive results confirmed that Bauhinia Purpurea leaves broth combined with silver dioxide solution formed silver nano particles and are capable of removing dyes.

Increasing worldwide environmental awareness is encouraging scientific research into the development of cheaper, more environmentally friendly and more sustainable construction and packing materials. For environment concern on synthetic fiber (such as glass, carbon, ceramic gibers etc) natural fibers (such as flax, hemp, jute, kenai) etc are widely used. Industrial hemp fiber is one of the strongest of the natural fibers available and possesses benefits such as low cost and low production energy requirements. The primary objective of this research is to fabricate the natural fiber composites with suitable processing/manufacturing methods and to examine the mechanical properties when subjected to Tension, Bending and to compare & contrast the results with the available literature. In this research work, hemp fiber reinforced Epoxy matrix composites have been developed by hand layup method with varying process parameters, such as coupling agent(with and without compatibilizers) and different fiber percentages (10%,20% and 30% by weight). The developed composites were then characterized by tensile test and flexural testing. Results show that the tensile strength and flexural properties increases with the increase in fiber percentage. However after a certain percentage the tensile strength decreases again. Compared to untreated hemp fiber, no significant changes in the tensile strength have been observed for treated hemp fiber reinforcement. The flexural strength / modulus of the composite were higher compared to pure epoxy for all filler/fiber loadings.

A novel single switch cascaded dc-dc converter of boost and buck boost converters have extended voltage conversion ratio to d/(1-d) 2 . The features of the converter are high voltage gain; only one switch for realizing the converter, the number of magnetic components is small etc. So comparing with other topologies cascaded converter is more effective. Simulation of the converter for a dc input voltage and fixed duty cycle was done, and the same was verified experimentally for a low input voltage. The software used for simulation was MatlabR2014a.

In this study cast aluminium alloy wheel rim are used for simulation of impact test by using 3–D explicit finite element methods. The design of aluminium alloy wheel for automobile application which is carried out and paying special attention to optimization of the shape and mass of the wheel rim according to aesthetical point of view, to overcome the wheel cap. A finite element model of the wheel with its tire and striker were developed taking account of the nonlinearity material properties. Simulation was conducted to study the stress and displacement distributions during impact test. The analyses results are presented as a function of time. The study is carried under the above constraints and the results are taken to carryout for further analysis i.e. shape and weight optimization of the wheel

In automobile sector, wear is a major problem, specifically in engineering assemblies and materials used for this purpose should have good tribological properties. To this effect Al MMCs have attracted significant attraction since they have improved wear resistance. Metal matrix composites are usually produced with secondary particles in the form of either continuous or discontinuous fiber or particles. From the viewpoint of good mechanical properties aluminium matrix is generally reinforced by oxide or carbide, nitride or boride ceramics (like Al 2 O 3 , SiC, Si 3 N 4 , TiC, TiB 2 . Reinforcement of the matrix with only one of these reinforcements may not yield desired properties and the matrix may need to be augmented with other reinforcements also. Graphite and SiC are the reinforcements used widely in automotive industries to achieve better mechanical and tribological properties and dampen the vibrations with less operational costs. To solve the loss of power in the household, we need a tool that is capable of supplying the power source voltage. One of the tools is the inverter, so the author aims to analyze how the effects of the use of the appliance inverter if saddled with the burden of energy-saving lamps as lighting in residences. The method used is by measuring along with an analysis of calculation given load whenever inverter energy- saving lamps with varying power to determine the change in the electrical quantities to be analyzed. This research reached at the time of getting the highest load of 203W; cos φ light weight using the inverter much better, reaching 0.93 compared without using an inverter which is just 0.68 as well as current and load power consumed by the use of the much smaller inverter. For example, only 0,76A and 135,63A compared to the load current and power without the use of inverters that achieve 1,3A and 185,64W

The typical three path propagation and anti jamming capability associated with DSSS were carried out through the combination of Lab VIEW and MATLAB 7.8. At the transmitter, the NRZ data stream is first mapped into BPSK symbols and then spread-out using different PN code like Hadamard code, Gold or Kasami sequences. And we see that single user is not total utilization band. Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) techniques are used same bandwidth Number of user to increase, and we see that better performance. That we can say Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum techniques is reused to bandwidth. And we can say that in this techniques power loss is low, anti jamming capability is less and system is more reliable. Furthermore, BPSK-Spreading transceiver should be analyzed for their performance, multipath scenario and interference whether under AWGN channel which show that these has been overcome effectively and attain more robust performance, when using direct sequence spread spectrum.
