The life insurance industry in India is grappling with high attrition llevels of sales force, approximately 30 percent newly appointed sales person are leaving the job in the same year of appointment as well four years retention rate is as low as 13 percent only Huge are the costs (direct & indirect) of turning one salesperson over, turnover then represents the largest area of financial loss for many companies (Copper, 2012). Present article attempts to compare the sales force attrition trend of Private and Public Life Insurance Companies operating in India, as well effort has also been made to find out probable causes (along with remedial measures) of this high attrition and its effect on company specific as well as on industry.

Capital structure is defined as the composition of Debt and Equity. When Coompany earn profit, Return on Debt treated as expenses before tax and return on Equity is the distribution of profit after tax. The earlier study disclosed that there is a strong relationship between capital structure and firm's profitability when Indian Companies prepared their financial statement as per Indian Accounting Standard. But from 2010-11 financial year, some Indian Companies prepared there financial statement as per IFRS according with Indian accounting standard. In this paper through multiple regression analysis, try to find out whether the same relationship exists or not when the Indian Companies prepare their financial statement as per International Financial reporting Standard. In this study, data have been extracted from the 2010-11, financial statement which were prepared as per IFRS.

Financial sector reforms in the decade of 1990's have twisted the Indiaan capital markets into a dynamic and extensive in the context of world financial market. With the arrival of globalization in India rigorous efforts are made in reinforcement the investor assurance. Financial markets are very inventive in augmenting the popularity of derivatives instruments which exemplifies how resourcefully markets are capable to package and manage risk. At the present in world markets for trade and business have become further incorporated, derivatives have strengthened these significant linkages between global markets, increasing market liquidity and effectiveness. In India, the emergence and growth of derivatives market is relatively a recent phenomenon. By locking in asset prices, derivative products lessen the effect of fluctuations in asset prices on the profitability and cash flow position of risk-averse investors. Since its inception in June 2000, derivatives market has exhibited exponential growth both in terms of volume and number of contract traded. Thus the present study is an effort to analyze derivative trading in India, policy development and regulation in relation to Indian stock market. It is an endeavour to demonstrate the growth and expansion of financial derivative of NSE in India in the time period i.e 2000 -2001 to 2012-2013.

Entrrepreneurship is a rapidly rising concern of a modern competitive economy and its contribution in economy is viably recognized worldwide. Women's development has been considered the key to the overall sustainable development of a nation. Several central government and state government departments, government sponsored institutions as well as voluntary organizations have introduced a multitude of programmes of assistance and incentives etc, to keep up the tempo and to speed up the process of growth of women entrepreneurship. Female who play an intriguing role by frequently interacting and actively adjusting herself with socio-economic, financial and support spheres in society is called women entrepreneur. Women Entrepreneur' is a person who accepts challenging role to meet her personal needs and become economically independent. A strong desire to do something positive is an inbuilt quality of entrepreneurial women, who is capable of contributing values in both family and social life. “Women entrepreneur refers equally to someone who has started a one women business to someone who is a principal in family business or partnership or to someone who is shareholder in a public company which she runs”. Women have the potential and the determination to set up, uphold and supervise their own enterprises in a very systematic manner. Appropriate support and encouragement from the Society in general and family members in particular is required to help them scale new heights in their business ventures. The right kind of assistance from family, society and Government can make these Women Entrepreneurs a part of the mainstream of national economy and they can contribute to the economic progress of India in this era of globalization. Empowering women entrepreneurs is essential for achieving the goals of sustainable development and the bottlenecks hindering their growth must be eradicated to entitle full participation in the business. Entrepreneurship among women, no doubt improves the wealth of the nation in general and of the family in particular. Women today are more willing to take up activities that were once considered the preserve of men, and have proved that they are second to no one with respect to contribution to the growth of the economy. Women entrepreneurship must be moulded properly with entrepreneurial traits and skills to meet the changes in trends, challenges in global markets and also be competent enough to sustain and strive for excellence in the entrepreneurial arena.

A confluence of social, economic and global forces in the knowledgedriven eeconomy pose new challenges to the nation's vitality and make clear the need for higher education institutions (HEIs) to assume new responsibilities. In view of this, faculty development is considered as an enduring process that enhances the productivity of academics for helping faculty to play their instructional, professional, and organizational roles effectively. It promotes academic excellence and innovation, sharpens conceptual, human, and technical skills of faculty and enables academic institutions to produce employable graduates. Faculty development programs (FDPs) are a means to expose the faculty in higher education to review, renew and extend their commitment as change agents to the moral purposes of teaching; and by which they acquire and develop their knowledge, skills and attitudes. The present study investigated the attitude of 124 faculty members, working in professional institutes of Dehradun, the state capital of Uttarakhand, towards FDPs and their perceived outcomes. Using factor analysis methods, researchers identify five important factors related to faculty attitude for such development programs. Researchers also attempt to examine possible outcomes and obstacles in attending such programs.

Societal understanding of ethics and values varies across countries andd cultures. This study aims to understand perceptions on ethics and values among Indian students at the under graduate level. The study investigated the seriousness students attach to different ethical issues, perceived impact of unethical practices in organizations, possible ways for prevention or correction of unethical practices in organizations, perception among students on what constitutes an ethical workplace, understanding career priorities of students and possible ways to prevent unethical practices among students like cheating in examinations, plagiarism etc. The primary data for this study was collected through a structured survey questionnaire evolved through discussion with students from a purposively drawn sample. The study used was a 10 point scale and analyzed statistically (92 Students) for 95% confidence (á=5% or 0.05). The study reveals that while as individuals students do view different ethical issues with differing degree of seriousness, when aggregated, such differences tend to even out. This is likely to have an impact on companies wanting to raise the bar of ethical conduct. The study also shows that loss of company reputation is the most likely result of unethical practices in companies and that companies play an important role in evolving/formulating the value system of the society where they operate. Further the study suggests that students have clear career priorities reducing the chances of ethical dilemmas and overwhelmingly believe that it is easier to persuading oneself from committing ethical misdemeanours than persuading others.

As Goods and Service Tax is likely to be imposed from 1st April, 2016, in this article an attempt has been made for the change. GST is the requirement of current economy of India. By GST application there will be a single indirect tax rate, single authority, uniform structure. In this article I have tried the compilations of pros and cons of GST. There will be a dual GST structure and Credit of each is available with certain conditions. So as per analysis, GST will improve efficiency, uniformity and administration of Indirect taxation of India.

Market Value Added (MVA) is the best peripheral performance measure as it iindicates the market assessment of the effectiveness with which a company's managers have used the scarce resources under their control. The present study is focused to find the relationship between financial measures and MVA. Thus, the objective of the study is to know one of the internal measures, which can influence the MVA. To examine MVA is taken as a dependent variable and the profitability ratio (GPM, NPM, ROCE, ROE and RONW) and market value ratios (EPS, PER and DPR) variables are selected as independent variables. Sample of 23 listed infrastructural companies of CNX Infrastructure Index have been taken for the study. The period of the study is 5 years (F.Y. 2009-10 to F.Y. 2013-14). The study reveals that there is positive relationship between MVA and financial performance measures of selected infrastructural companies during the period. Result shows that there is significant relationship between ROCE, ROE and EPS with MVA.

Being purposeful, systematic and carefully implemented, evaluation is aa continuous process and it is performed as the very basic part of the program activities to attain data to conclude if there is a need to make changes or eliminations, or accept something in it. Program evaluation is a kind of examination in social research field and it checks the sufficiency of educational programs. The broadest purpose of evaluation is to contribute judgments about the worth of an evaluated program or to point to the value of the program or just a section of it. The evaluators choose an evaluation model among several ones, each of which has its own characteristics or way of approaching the evaluation. One of these models is Fourlevel Evaluation Model by Kirkpatrick. This study was conducted based on the Document Analysis Technique by means of inquiring Kirkpatrick's framework from various sources of academic books and articles. From the analysis, one can conclude that Kirkpatrick's four-level model of program evaluation is one of the mostly employed models by the program evaluators. Besides, this study offers a documented data of how Kirkpatrick's framework that is easy to be implemented functions and what its features are.

In this modern era creation of surplus or maximization of profits has eemerged as a prime focus of organizational performance. In recent past decades procrastination and leadership style had been studied as an influencing factor in relation to performance. Enormous studied were conducting on leadership styles and procrastination with behavioural variables but no study established directly relationship of procrastination with leadership styles. The present study was an attempt to fill this gap and an effort to study relationship between procrastination and Leadership styles. The data was collected from 15 Textile Factories which were selected conveniently from five district of Punjab. The number of respondents was 100 managers. Simple random (probability) sampling technique was conducted to collect the responses. The demographic information was also gathered from the respondents. Two questionnaires Pure Procrastination Scale (Steel, 2010) and Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) Leaders Rater Form short (Bass & Avolio, 2004) were used at five point Likert scale. The reliability of questionnaires was also tested by Cronabach's alpha which was moderate. Descriptive Statistics was performed. Correlation and Regression were used to test the hypothesis. There was positive and highly significant relationship was found between procrastination and transformational leadership style. Regression analysis was showing that transformational leadership had significant relationship and impact on the procrastination. Limitations of study, implication and scope of research in future were also discussed in the study.

The wide spread of media provides a lot of awareness among the public rregarding all the changes and innovations that are taking place all around the globe. The technology when combined with the media makes it more easily to reach to the maximum number of customers. Therefore, the present paper intended to find the influence of the advertisement on the buying behavior towards banking and financial sector. The paper tries to explore the various factors which will affect the customers when they select the specific banking and financial services. Further, the paper will find the single factor which has the highest impact on the customers purchase decisions. The research objectives of the paper will be obtained by applying the Factor Analysis on the collected data and afterwards the regression analysis in order to find the relationship between the various factors and to identify the single prominent factor which has highest impact.

Waste has been a major environmental issue everywhere since the industrrial revolution. Besides the waste created at home, schools and other public places it is also generated by various sectors like hospitals, industries, farm and other sources. Waste based business helps in addressing the problem of waste to a great extent. The present study analyses various actors in the value chain of waste business and perception of manufacturers regarding challenges and concerns of such business. The total sample size comprised of 156 manufacturers dealing in waste based business units from Northern India i.e. Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.The study concluded that in waste based business, 13 different value chains were followed. The major challenges and concerns were found to be inadequate supply of electricity, shortage of raw material availability followed by shortage of labor, low demand of end product, rising prices of raw material, restriction on use of plastic, high taxes, high competition due to new entrants and excess interference by the government.

Online shopping has increased tremendously in the past few years in Inddia. It has improved the lifestyle of people in the country. Consumers tend to be attracted by the offers on the online shopping portals. This had resulted in the increase in impulsiveness among the buyers online. The present study is an attempt to understand the effect of impulsiveness among online buyers. For the purpose of study, online shoppers from Indore city were taken. The study indicated the fact that various factors contributed to the impulsiveness among buyers while they do online shopping. Among them unplanned tendency online shopping mood and online shopping experience were major identified factors. Demographic factors like age, gender and occupation of shoppers were also analyzed to know its effect on online impulsive behavior.
