This article also provides the new paradigm regarding active part taken by Sindhis in the struggle for independence of India and substantiated through several incidents. The attitude scale towards teaching profession has been constructed not only with the objective of finding the attitude of teachers towards teaching profession, but it is also hoped that the findings of this scale would enable the investigators to make suggestions towards improving the teachers’ perception towards their profession. The scale consists of 22 items with ten positive and 12 negative items. Reliability of the scale (.69) was established using split half method. Content validity and criterion related validity was also established. Concurrent validity was found to be (.84).

To measure service quality of cell-phone service providers in Valsad district, SERVQUAL model has been applied. 232 respondents have been taken by applying convenience method. Data has been analyzed by adopting factor analysis and one-sample t-test. From the analysis, it has been concluded that the cell phone service providers provide a good service in Valsad District. Moreover, it has been found that assurance is the most important service quality dimension.

This article deals with the challenges involved in a border dispute between India and China. It demonstrates that there are two dimensions of issues, i.e. tangible and intangible, that determine India’s zero sum claim on Tawang. This article outlines India’s policy towards its border dispute with China by analysing the case study of Tawang. The article also demonstrates the social construction of intangible issues in a disputed border through the process of material, functional and symbolic entrenchment process. It is argued that due to the process of entrenchment, salient intangible issues are constructed, which has made compromise difficult and protracted, thus making zero sum claim on Tawang.

The persistence of gender inequality is most starkly brought home in the phenomenon of “missing women”. The term was coined by Amartya Sen in a now classic article in the New York Review of Books (Sen, 1990) to capture the fact that the proportion of women is lower than what would be expected if girls and women throughout the developing world were born and died at the same rate, relative to boys and men, as they do in Sub Saharan Africa.
