Abstract Investigating the relationship between emotional intelligence, personality traits and academic performance was the main objective of the current study. Correlational research method was utilized. Among all PhD students of Isfahan, 291 people were selected by employing simple random sampling and they completed Bar-On Emotional Intelligence Inventory and McCrae Personality Traits Inventory. Finding indicated that emotional intelligence had a positive relation with academic performance also; personality traits have a significant relation to academic performance. The results showed that emotional intelligence and personality traits influence to academic performance positively and can be applied as a criterion for student�s admission. Abstract One of the most influential and current theories that opened new windows towards the horizon of theorizing and psychotherapy is attachment theory that was developed out of works by Bowlby and Ainsworth. From the very beginning, one of the most important controversial issues in this theory was measuring and evaluating the styles of attachment and the active internal patterns underlying them. Ainsworth took the first steps in this regard and introduced a three-level system and later a four-level system through her own creative method which was known as �Strange Situation Test�. After this, many researchers tried measuring the attachment styles in infants and older ages. Among these works, mostly the tendency was towards devising tests to determine patterns of attachment in adults which led to the emergence of interviews and questionnaires such as AAI, AHQ, AAQ, CRI, and etc.; of course it is worth noting that none of the mentioned measures is specifically devised for the adolescence. Among the limited instruments which measure attachment in adolescence The Inventory of Parent and Peer Attachment-Revised (IPPA-R) and Parental Attachment Questionnaire (PAQ) can merely measures the quality of the attachment relationship and none of them follows the categorization offered by Ainsworth or Main and his colleagues. Present study, was conducted on 380 high school students from Mashhad by employing Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) utilizing principal components method. Finding reveals that three factors were extracted which were similar to categories described by Ainsworth; then, the validity of instrument was indicated through confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Abstract The current research investigates the predictors of work motivation through job characteristic in staff members of educational vice chancellor of Iran�s ministry of education. Data were collected from the 200 staff members by using simple random sampling method. Job diagnostic survey questionnaire (Hackman & Oldham, 1975) was employed for assessment of job characteristics and Work Motivation and Job Satisfaction Scale (WMJSS) were used for assessing participants Motivation toward work tasks. Findings revealed that there is a positive and significant relationship between job characteristics and working motivation. The multiple regression results also revealed that Working Motivation is significantly predicted by job characteristic. Also all job characteristics sub variables includes skill variety, task identity, task significance, autonomy and feedback were meaningful predicators of work motivation, internal motivation, general satisfaction and growth satisfaction. The highest variance is explained by skill variety and the lowest by autonomy. Introduction: The current study aims to investigate the relationship between personal and career factors with general health, mental health and social health. Materials and methods: all university faculty member professors of Azad University of Bojnourd were selected as the research sample. Researcher made questionnaire of personal information (age, sex, marital status, and degree) and career information (teaching grade, employment statue, and distance from settlement) and general health questionnaire, mental and social wellbeing questionnaire were employed for variable assessment. Structural educational modeling was used for data analysis. Results: Descriptive statistic reveals that participants have acceptable score in three research variables. SEM results show that all direct pathways are significant. Continuous teacher instruction, high decision making skills, having a high and prestigious position and high practical skill for coping with difficulties let them to have high scores in general, mental and social health. Conclusion: Results from the present study support the view that positive mental health is more than the absence of negative mental health and is associated with indicators of higher levels of social well-being, positive health behaviors and improved health and social functioning.
