Bandoneon, instrument that evokes bohemian feelings in tango, a genre that came into being masculine because it was exclusive for men as well as the bandoneon, until the argentinean Francisca Bernardo play the instrument at the beginning of the 20th century, a feat for the liberation of the feminine gender the tango. That first step that Francisca took, or “Paquita” as it is known, opened the opportunity to many other women who came to play the bandoneon.One of those great bandoneonists is Carla Algeri who, in addition to play the instrument, is a composer, director and arranger in tango; cultural ambassador of tango in Buenos Aires City and cultural manager. Among her great works is the writing of tango as heritage of humanity for Unesco, be-sides being a disciple of one of the forts in the bandoneon as the master Rodolfo Mederos

This work presents a techno-aesthetic analysis (Simondon, 2017) of three singing styles - the lyric, the popular and the folkloric - through a comparative study of their morphologi-cal characterization and the audio waves that each of them emits. To sustain our study empirically, we have drawn on two feminine musical referents in Colombian tropical mu-sic: Totó la Momposina and Doris Salas. For this, we have designed an interface that allows comparing the similarities and differences between this type of vocalities through its sound modulation, with which we observe not only its aes-thetic but also its technical dimension.

Recent socio-technical transformations have transformed our experience of culture. In this context, the body as a functional organism that produces and reproduces modernity has given rise to other experiences of corporality. The computerization, molecularization, genetization of life have blurred the lim-its of the body-organism, the current knowledge and powers draw new lines of visibility and the body's enunciability. This decomposed in a post-organic plane becomes the object of de-sign and improvement according to the transformations of an increasingly semiotic and informational capitalism that clogs other bodies that are virtually possible. However, this same experience is capable of working critically against mod-ern logics, eating away from the norms and behaviors for the material reproduction of the contemporary world. In this sense, bioart and transgenic art allow to highlight some fea-tures of this transformation and the techno-political tensions that inhabit it

Violence is a central theme in Latin American art. From consecrated artists like Brazilian Rosângela Rennó, the Co-lombian Doris Salcedo or the Argentine Leon Ferrari, until newer generations, violence continues to be an inescapable subject. This article deals with how certain artistic practices evoke it away from the pursue of shock and explicitness by working with metaphors or subterfuges to denounce a vio-lent past or present. The paper explores two new artists and two with a long career. Among those who belong to a new-er generation, the article reviews the work of the Mexican photographer Clauzzia Gómez, and that of Adriana Corral, artist from El Paso, Texas. Among the internationally recog-nized artists, the paper focuses on the work Auras anón-imas (2007-2009) by Colombian Beatriz González, and reflects, as a counter-example of the figurative treatment of the violent, in the work of Mexican Teresa Margolles

This article aims to demonstrate some research-creation pro-cesses that inquire into the concerns and dynamics related to the terms art and ethnography, which are an integral part of the methodological creation strategy for contemporary ar-tistic practices addressed in a Master’s project, starting from of which I seek to raise awareness about the social problems that affect marginal society and the inhabitants of the city of Medellín. From various references and disciplines, such as sociology, ethnography, anthropology and microbiology, I will delve into the identification and collection of taxonomic objects, urban architecture and the space to inhabit, in the search for new aesthetic expressions whose integration al-lows to chart a path towards co-creation in contemporary artistic practices based on social issues and habitability in the street as an object of study.The installation as a work proposal, collects and creatively processes its vestiges, traces and traces of existence in these urban spaces, thus evidencing a research-creation result, is presented as the artistic device that allows dialogue between languages, symbols and dissimilar constructions of how street reality is lived in the city, especially from the perspec-tive of those who inhabit it and dwell under the bridges and viaducts outside the Medellín River, in the downtown area of the city

This article examines some of the aesthetic strategies through which the visual arts have approached violence in Colombia over the last two decades. The main argument is that these strategies are post-representational: the artists and works in question do not simply seek to represent or document violence and its victims; rather, they seek to inter-vene in the contexts of violence. This article aims to articulate the conceptual notion of foren-sic aesthetics developed by Eyal Weizman, Thomas Keenan, and the Forensic Architecture Project, as well as by the work and perspective of forensic anthropology and the theoreti-cal, philosophical, and artistic framework and practices re-lated. It traces the evolution of the landscape of politics of disappearance in Latin America, and the recent history of its revival in Mexico. Moreover, the article analyses the case of Ayotzinapa, and how the Forensic Architecture Project intervenes with the development of the Ayotzinapa Plat-form and an exhibition in the Contemporary Universitary Art Museum (MUAC) at UNAM in Mexico City. Möbius band twists the space image in the 20th century. Lygia Clark’s art and Michel Foucault’s philosophy provide testimony of it. This paper turns to the notion of care of truth in Foucault to approach the dismantling of esthetic plan in the first periods of the artist’s work. The transformations of esthetic plan give us the possibility of seeing the changes of space of the experience in the art field, but, mainly, in the field of life itself, the way we experience it. As a result of this action, it is presented here the intimate relations between ethics and politics in order to evidence the problem of esthetic formation. It is discussed a formation promoted by esthetic experience which affects the sensitive and discursive ways of production of reality

In this paper, I present the elaboration, which is the result of a question about the body asked in the first person singular. It is a reflection of oneself under the assumption that war has needed some bodies formed and disciplined in specific ways. The body is shaped from language and represents the ideals of a culture. The body, as a historical construction, is a text to be interpreted and mapped from phenomenologi-cal and critical exercises. Then, I present the systematiza-tions of two current experiences as a movement that allows symbolic constructions. I base this text on a family history reading, and how its agents have constituted the body; my ancestors’ experiences. Data are put together in a narra-tive plot structure that ends with current ethical positions in movement. I explore different literary works and find a body that goes from the force of progress, the destructive and violent men and the kind, strong and maternal women, to a fitness body, which symbolically begins to have pro-ductive loss and becomes a consumer. At this point, art and community become languages for the re-existence

Este texto apresenta o processo pelo qual a performance titulada Arraigos foi construída, que questiona os fenômenos que surgem quando mudamos de um lugar para outro. Uma reflexão consolidada é proposta sobre as questões: O que acontece com o corpo nos processos migratórios? Como representamos a nova realidade que enfrentamos com a mudança? Que sensações se manifestam em nosso corpo como um produto do deslocamento?O olhar foi orientado pelas linguagens estéticas (corporais e sonoras) e por um processo criativo em que a multiplicidade das raízes é visível a partir da própria experiência e da do espectador. Por fim, a performance conseguiu construir uma ponte entre a pesquisa, a criação e a obtenção de metáforas cotidianas que buscavam encontrar os pontos comuns e a configuração de seus próprios lugares quando não mais viviam nos lugares de origem.

Wind bands, in the Colombian field, are taken as an artistic phenomenon that allows the meeting around local celebrations, where corporal, visual and resounding interrelations are hatched from different enjoyment ways.
