One of the important tool and technique used to measure the financial performance of the company is ratio analysis. It helps to measure the operational and financial efficiency of the business undertaking. Ratios are the foundation for the application of Altman z-score model. This model can be used to predict the bankruptcy of the firm up to 2-3 years in advance. This paper attempts to predict the bankruptcy of selective airlines such as king fisher airlines, jet Airways and spic jet airways. In addition the researcher focused to measure the financial and operational performance of the airlines.

With enhanced complexities and uncertain nature of environment, strategic flexibility has become increasingly importantfor sustaining the competitiveness of the firm. Also all these strategic efforts without being focused on the market will be futile as without this orientation these are sure to fall flat on their nose because of the lack of customer-centric focus. This study attempts to combine the concept of strategic flexibility with market focused approach with a specific focus on the automobile industry. The 4-wheeler segment of industry has been chosen for study as the car manufacturers are reeling under the intense heat of this ever-changing environment. For this extensive literature review has been done to find out crucial attributes of market focused dimensions and then these aspects are integrated with strategic flexibility to give a conceptual model that will help the automobile companies to face the environmental turbulence with clear cut market focused approach without diluting their key focus areas. Study concludes with some specific recommendations for practitioners to enable them to combine the market focussed approach with strategic vision of the company as it has been found that both these aspects help the organization to deal with environment uncertainty in an effective way. This paper offers a fresh approach to the study of the aforementioned concepts from automobile sector perspective and helps the practitioners to deal with increased business environment dynamism effectively.

The study under review, delved into the influence of gender on staff or employee productivity in selected private universities in Kampala City, Uganda. In determining whether male or female perform significantly different, the null hypothesis of no signicant difference in terms of performance between male and female was tested. The study employed a descriptive and comparative survey design. The data on gender were analysed using frequency counts and percentages,while on the difference,t-test was used.The assumption was that the level of work productivity among men and female staff doesn’t significantly differ. In reaction to this assumption stydent's t-test was employed to prove or disapprove the hypothesis. The findings revealed that work productivity doesn’t significantly differ among employees apart from punctuality as a sub element of work productivity. It was established that there is a slight difference in work productivity between male and female. It was properly established that male (mean 3.18) are more punctual than female (mean 3.00) (t-2.579) (Sig = 0.010) however this difference is too insignificant to pose a significant difference between the two categories (male and female).It was also revealed that the level of work productivity in general is so much dominant among male (3.04). Integration theory by Mary Parker Follet (1868 – 1933) anchored on the findings. The study recommended that employers should consider employees ability to work and the way the expected energies of the same are utilized to realize expected results since gender has almost nothing to do with ones productivity.

HRD climate is the best tool which helps the employees to acquire required competencies for improving work life balance that would enable them to enhance their productivity for better Organizational Performance. Recently the MNCs and domestic companies find difficulties in identifying and assessing the factors having a net impact on HRD Climate with relations on job satisfaction among employees which have the highest degree of contribution for the success of the policies. Though, different tools have been used to measure of Organizational Performance i.e. financial to behavioural ones’. Hence, this paper is based on a survey conducted on a coal exploring public company in Odisha called Mahanadi Coal Field, Limited, Burla, Sambalpur, has provided an opportunity for an in-depth exploration of the perceptions and attitudes of the employees regarding the potential HRD climate variables which have relations with job satisfaction of employees. In this context, for this study, we have taken 60 responses from different demographic profile to make this study succession one. Though there are different statistical tool have been used to carry out the research works, but, we have used mean, standard deviation correlation, and regression analysis to prove significant relations and also T test has been used for testing hypothesis. The questionnaires relating to the HRD Climate (Rao and Abraham, 1985) and Job Satisfaction (Daftuar,C.N,1997) was administered to the sample population and the findings indicate that HRD Climate has a significant relationship exists with the Job Satisfaction. This indicates that there are considerable room for improvement in these areas.

The current study was aimed at exploring the possibility of improvements in the metrics of the repair and overhaul process, using process improvement and also an improved tracking system. The company was facing problems and wanted to reduce the turnaround time of critical items (with a penalty) inducted for Repair and Overhaul Process. The objective of the study was to assess the critical reasons of the inefficiencies and estimate delays in the Repair and Overhaul process . This was done using past three yrs ERP data, and supported by interviews of managers involved in managing the process and questionnaire survey. The effect of improvement in the key processes was clubbed with the benefits of use of RFID in tracking the material flow in the process and the combined effect was studied using process simulation with ARENA simulation tool. The study involved the following steps: • To analyse As- Is process using real time data, by simulating the process with the help of Arena 8.01 software. • Exploring potential improvements in process performance parameters, using process improvement also using Auto-Tracking technology. Government should give more support and should more formalize it. It has export potentials. Food processing sector is indispensable for overall development of an economy as it provides a vital linkage and synergy between the agriculture and industry. It helps to diversify and commercialize farming; enhance income of farmers; create markets for export of agro foods aswell as generate greater employment opportunities.
