University management from social responsability: A post-modern management commitment

These days, humanity is facing a reality permeated by changes generated in various fields, which have oriented what has been called the postmodern era, maybe in response to traditional approaches, especially in the management area, affecting the organizations in depth. This essay originated from a documentary review whose purpose was to generate contributions for a future doctoral thesis, considering relevant aspects that will to the reflection on the reality to be studied, related to the management carried out by Venezuelan universities in the context of university social responsibility, highlighting the commitment to promote the 2030 Agenda, under a postmodern managerial approach. In order to undertake these elements for this essay, it was necessary for the information investigated to be interpreted as an input for reflective action on the need to achieve an appropriate managerial approachfor the commitments that universities have with society and the various impacts that they generate it in. Among the commitments is the promotion of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the fulfillment of the goals in response to SDG 4 of the 2030 Agenda. According to what has been raised, the university must assume a managerial approach oriented by social responsibility university, teamwork with interest groups (stakeholders), which implies co-responsibility, therefore, means the development of a process of deep transformation that replaces the traditional pyramidal approach that has been developed in Venezuelan universities, both public, as private
