Meaning, Form, Pronunciation and Appropriacy (MFPA) of lexis is a tool based on which it can form vocabulary skills. There is every reason to consider the problem of developing the vocabulary skills based on the MFPA of lexis as unresolved and requiring detailed research, which determined the relevance of this work and the choice of the research topic. The work aims to develop a scientifically grounded and experimentally tested methodology for forming students' vocabulary based on the MFPA of lexis. The hypothesis of the study is the assumption that the formation of students' vocabulary based on the MFPA of lexis will be successful if it is carried out based on the development and implementation of such a methodological system, which takes into account the methodological conditions necessary for the successful formation of students' vocabulary based on the MFPA of lexis (1) formation of students by the time of learning foreign language communicative competence; (2) use in teaching tasks (a) to determine the meaning of words, (b) to study pronunciation, (c) to identify differences between words that are close in meaning, (d) to differentiate words that are similar in spelling; (3) following an explicit learning algorithm with separate stages and steps. To test the validity of the hypothesis, the following research methods were used in work: analysis and generalization of research results; modeling of the pedagogical process of forming the vocabulary skills based on the MFPA of lexis and experimental learning.

EVALUATION OF USABILITY OF VIDEO PLATFORMS: YOUTUBE AND DAILYMOTION

Video platforms are crucial resources for integrating visual and auditory stimuli into learning environments. The starting point of this research is to get the opinions of users on the usability of two of the most common used video platforms, which can sometimes be used as an educational tool and sometimes as an entertainment tool. Thus, this research aims to evaluate the usability level of YouTube and Dailymotion by participants with different demographic characteristics in terms of gender, age, education level, duration of internet use, tools used, and frequency of visiting platforms. This research has been designed in a mixed-method approach, data were collected from 217 participants, and the usability levels of video platforms were determined through the System Usability Scale. By placing additional questions on the scale, participants could express their demographic information and their views on YouTube and Dailymotion video platforms. ANOVA was used in the analysis of quantitative data and the content analysis method was used in the analysis of qualitative data. Thus, (1) the usability level of the video platforms was measured, (2) the differentiation status of the usability perceptions according to the demographic characteristics of the participants was questioned, and (3) participants' views on the usability of the video platforms were analyzed. Research findings have shown that while the participants in the study group found the usability level of the YouTube platform high, they found the usability level of the Dailymotion platform low. In addition, it has been concluded that the usability level differs according to gender and the frequency of visiting the video platforms. Then, the participants' views on usability were synthesized within the themes of (i) positive opinions, (ii) negative opinions, (iii) comparison opinions, and (iv) improvement suggestions. The conclusion part also includes various suggestions that can contribute to researchers and system developers for future studies.

Turkish folklore products have changed, transformed and sometimes even forgotten, depending on many political, social and economic reasons throughout history. In order to prevent these losses, many expert researchers, both at home and abroad, have recorded folklore products and conducted important folklore studies. Apart from expert researchers, there are also local folklore researchers who are interested in folklore studies and conduct voluntary studies. When the relevant literature is searched, it is possible to come across various books, theses, articles and papers about expert researchers. However, studies on local folklore researchers are unfortunately negligible. For this reason, many researchers who have spent years in folklore studies, compilation studies, and cultural studies are forgotten after their death and their studies are lost. In this study, the life of Hayrettin Günay, one of the important local folklore researchers, and his studies in the field of folklore are emphasized. Hayrettin Günay’s works on folk literature, folk music, kemenche tradition, folk dances, transition periods, traditional hunting, festivals, children's games, folk language, folk botany, handicrafts published in various publications, especially in Yeşilgiresun newspaper, have been examined by considering. In this direction; The aim of the research is to present the folklore studies of Hayrettin Günay, a local folklore researcher, to examine these studies and thus to bring the researcher's contribution to Turkish folklore into the literature.

PEYAMI SAFA'S VIEW OF THE CONCEPT OF SIN WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF HIS MORAL UNDERSTANDING

Morality is a concept that defines what is right and wrong and sets certain rules at this point. These rules can vary by time and place in non-religious morals. Religion-based morals, on the other hand, are universal and have immutable qualities. This article explored whether the concept of sin, a religious norm, was one of the criteria that shaped Peyami Safa's sense of morality. At first glance, it is understood that the author, who is evident to deal with his people and actions in the moral dimension in his novels, has adopted Turkish national morality because of the benefit it will provide to society. One of the fundamental factors shaping the Turkish national ethos is the rules of the Islamic religion. Within this framework, the question of how the author handles the concept of sin in his novels, driven by clues from his writings, becomes important. In his novels, Peyami Safa described morally corrupt people caught between East and West civilizations. Whether the notion of sin was a driving force in the background of the author's questioning of corruption in creating his novels in this perspective has been seen as a question worth exploring. Thus, this work aims to determine the place and impact of the concept of sin within the moral understanding of Peyami Safa.
