To understand the benefits of the Lean manufacturing implementation in the Apparel Industry, a project was initiated in Pheonix International, Ludhiana (India). Different lean tools were implemented such as 5S, Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, Kanban, and Andon. Lean tools were implemented in all the departments including a fabric store, CAD lab, spreading and cutting department, sewing department, finishing and packaging department. Implementation of lean tools in apparel industry increases productivity by around 8%. The implementation of lean tools resulted in a reduction of cycle time. The lean tools also result in managing and reducing the garment manufacturing waste and thus increasing quality. At the same time, the organization must have to maintain the effectiveness of lean tools to gain benefits over a period.
Socio-economic progress of a specific nation determined by the amended energy facilities. Electricity produced from Eritrea majorly relies on imported fossil fuels. In the global scenario, recently bioethanol derived from lignocellulosic biomass sources has become a significant renewable energy form as a blended fuel for the transportation sector.Woodland forest covers totally 60% of the total land in Eritrea. Acacia etbaica, a bushy wood plant native to Eritrea was selected as a feedstock for bioethanol production. Two stage fermentation of aerobic followed by anaerobic in the presence of yeast made potential to generate 3.9% (v/v) bioethanol from Acacia etbaica (Seraw) via multistage dilute H2SO4 pretreatment. Bioethanol was purified by a simple batch distillation and the first stage distillate was identified with 13 % of ethanol by UV spectrophotometer. With a dedication of50,000 ha of land, Eritrea can harvest 45000 ton/year of Acacia etbaica biomass and subsequently produce 15620 lit/year of bioethanol for a 5 year crop rotation.
Modern views on the state of the problem considered asphalt-resin-paraffin deposits (ARPD) in oilfield equipment and possible methods for its solution. The main factors of the ARPD formation listed in this paper. Special focus given to the group chemical composition of the crude and mutual influence of separate high-molecular crude oil components on the structurization in the oil system at low temperatures. The chemical methods concerning with application of various additives, reagents and removers are considered in more detail. The mechanism of action of reagents on ARPD was clarified and was it determined that the reagents of BAF-1 and BAF-2 in interaction with sediments, grind associates and ensure there uniform distribution in oil.
In this paper, the complementary of arithmetic mean, geometric mean, harmonic mean and contra harmonic mean with respect to Heron mean are defined. Further, by finding the partial derivatives developed the Schur convexity and Schur geometric convexity results.
This article aimed to review the ability of the Palestinian construction companies to apply the basic tools of statistical process control (SPC) in their concrete production systems for process improvement. A special focus is made on improving the production process of B30 concrete since it is the most widely used type in the Palestinian market. A local company was taken as a case study to monitor the compressive strength of their B30 concrete using different quality tools such as histogram, control charts and cause-and-effect diagram. The tools implementation and data analysis show clearly that these tools can be applied in such sector effectively and used to improve production processes to save materials and money.
Process quality is a key factor in facilitating product sales, (PCIs), which determine the relationship between the manufacturing specifications and the actual process performance by quantifying process potential. Although Cp, Cpk indices are the most popular and important criteria used in manufacturing industries to measure process performance reported extensively in the literature, in the literature, the majority of previous studies neglected the idea of Six Sigma (SS). However, existing PCIs based on SS presented only a range of quality levels rather than a speciﬁc quality level value. The purpose of this study is to measure and enhance the precision of performance evaluation for processes industrial, through the use of (PCIs) and (SS) concept. In light of this, this study introduces new performance index based on the idea SS which are SSCpk by extending the indices Cp, Cpk and calculating the sigma process level directly to measure yield process based on idea SS. To demonstrate the effectiveness applicability of the SSCpk index, this study presents an industrial case study to assess the process performance of Aden oil refinery in Yemen. Toward this end, the data for essential quality characteristic of petroleum products namely octane number was collected randomly from Aden refinery. The findings of this study indicated that the proposed index SSCpk outperformed on the existing indices Cpk as the shows at the results and discussion. Finally, the proposed process yield index based on SS concept is a promising approach and thus can be utilized by other industries and practitioners to assess process performance in the aspect of precision and quality control.

The Distributed Ledger Technology blockchain can be used in the energy sector in different aspects like generation, transmission, and distribution. The initial application of blockchain technology is to pay electricity bills by using the cryptocurrencies is presented here. The variable RES like wind, solar in the grid integration how the DLTs will contribute to the enhanced management of the power system. Finally, the transmission sector transmission charges based on power production, and losses are ruined optimally and blocks are interconnected to blockchain are presented clearly. Implementing blockchain technology to the transmission system generation, and distribution systems lead to the digitalization of the electrical industry. Using the blockchain technology the end-users to generation cost analysis will be recorded.
Having been proposed for more than 3 decades, the concept of ecotourism is one of the issues that attract much attention from the academic circle. Also, the concept of ecotourism develops with such terms as natural tourism, sustainable tourism and green tourism. With the assistance of CiteSpace5.7.R_1, a total of 443 papers included in WOS database from 2006 to 2020 were taken as the raw data in this paper for study. Visualized map analysis was conducted from such perspectives as country/region distribution, institution distribution, journal distribution, keyword co-occurrence, surge theme and highly cited literature, etc, which is purposed to determine the developmental status of this field over the past 15 years, identify its research hotspots and frontiers, as well as provide reference for ecotourism research.According to the research results, the number of relevant literature has shown an upward trend over the past 15 years, with the focuses of research placed mainly on those countries with relatively developed tourism industry. A large majority of the studies focus attention on the preservation of natural environment. Thought the research on ecotourism and sustainable development shows an uneven trend in the distribution of countries / regions, the distribution of various regions in the world is relatively balanced with regard to high-yield institutions. In the recent 15 years, there have been various research hotspots emerging, including nature reserves, rural economic development and others. As for the trend of research, ecotourism has attached increasing significance to the correlation with the growth of local economy. Over the past 15 years, ecotourism research involves at least three major themes. In spite of this, ecotourism research remains subject to some limitations on system theory and methodology. In the concluding part of this paper, a recommendation is put forward that the government should take various measures to guide the further development of ecotourism.
Industry 5.0 is upon us and with the mass personalization concept, it seems that customer value chain involvement (CVCI) will be the gravitational center for implementation process. Drawing from the axiomatic premises of Industry 5.0, this paper accentuates the role of CVCI in the coming era. In the light of industry 5.0 principles, the present article particularly focuses on the need for human touch factor in product development and mass personalization concepts and proposes a value creation model to be an initial guideline for practitioners and to foster ideas pertinent to the fifth industrial revolution.
Safety motivation is essential for a well-functioning Total Quality Management (TQM) program. Several studies on safety motivation have been published; however, the bibliometric review remains deficient. This review aims to discuss the bibliometric and thematic development of safety motivation research using the Scopus database. The graphical visualisation of the bibliometric indicators using VOSviewer is presented to describe publication trends. SciMAT was used to inspect the thematic evolution of safety motivation research. Safety motivation research has fluctuated with less than 30 publications annually. This review is interested in several themes and dimensions in changes and evolution of safety motivation. Essential themes in the first period (2001-2010) were "questionnaire", "aged" and "occupational hazards". The "human" theme became the most significant number of publications and citations during the second period (2011-2020). These themes may be useful as a reference point for occupational safety and health researchers and professionals interested in safety motivation research.
The present research paper analyzes the relationship between employee personality, their organizational commitment and their perception of their leaders' behavior and communication quality. Following this leading research scope, a literature review is conducted, describing different models of organizational commitment and its multi-factorial structure. Leadership is discussed within the framework of transformational and transactional leadership. In these regards, the influence of leadership on organizational commitment is discussed, leading to the description of the big five framework, as a relevant concept in research on personality. The empirical study followed a quantitative approach, using a sample of n = 300 business professionals measures of emotional and behavioral commitment, perceived leadership communication quality, perceived leadership style and employee personality were administered using an online survey. Analyses followed a correlational approach, aiming at explaining the relationships between the relevant variables. Using multiple, stepwise regression analyses, the study was able to show how both emotional and behavioral commitment are predicted by employee personality (conscientiousness for both measures, neuroticism additionally for emotional commitment), by perception of transformational leadership style and by perceived leadership quality. A total of around 30% of overall variance in both measures of organizational commitment could be explained using these predictors, the multiple regression analyses revealed. Thus, the importance of leadership and leadership communication on organizational commitment could be shown alongside the role that employee personality plays. The criterion validity of the measure for emotional and behavioral commitment could also be confirmed.
Customer satisfaction is the key to long-term profitability for every organization in the current fast-moving and complex world. This study was to assess the level customer’s satisfaction and identify the dimensions of service quality at Bule Hora University. The study was employed an institution-based descriptive cross-sectional survey. 999 sample sizes were selected by using a stratified sampling technique and relevant information for the study was collected through structured questionnaires. The result of the study revealed that the level of satisfaction of Bule Hora University teachers, students, and supportive staffs' were 82.6%, 45.3%, and 82.6% respectively. The proportion of female customers of the University who were satisfied were slightly greater than that of not satisfied. The estimated coefficients for sex, Age, and faculty were different from zero at a 5 percent significance level. The level of customer satisfaction of the University was not as expected as to be. Therefore, the University leaders and all concerned bodies should work more cooperatively in satisfying their customers. The University managements should give attention to providing quality services and facilities for its customers to alleviate the problems listed as potential explanatory variables.
