The study aimed to observe the dehydration in male athletes in football, during the youth, using the monitoring of the mass / body weight and contribute information to improve performance. The research character is pre-experimental, whose proposed intervention type is before - after. The study sample was composed of twenty players in the under-18 Mato Grosso Sport Clube (Union Sports Club) in the city of Rondonopolis / MT, of these, fifteen were selected because they meet certain criteria. The study population has an average age of 16.4 years, height 1.69 cm, with percentage fat and BMI 12.08 and 26.6. The value of body weight was collected before and after two training sessions on different days with balance and fluid intake was collected using a measuring cup from the moment of arrival at the training center for training and training order. These data were collected on days of normal training. For data analysis we used the "t" Student test for paired samples and p <0.05 as significance level. As a result, the mean body weight found, reported a decrease in body weight (65.25 and 64.46 pre-to post-training) when hydration occurred spontaneously. When performed an orientation and regular breaks, these data had a small changes, for example, body weight remained more balanced (pre 65.3 to 64.7 in the post-workout). Although not a significant difference occurs, it is concluded that the pre and post values have not changed, especially the second time after a guidance and recommendation for fluid intake during exercise.
