Improving the efficiency of the educational process of students with a low level of physical fitness

The article analyzes the level of physical fitness of first-year students of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. A low level of physical fitness was found in one third of the tested students, which indicates the lack of effectiveness of traditional forms of physical education. It is defined that sports orientation is a type of motor activity with a wide range of tools, which allows students with different levels of physical fitness to get involved in doing sports. It is concluded that the use of sports orientation in the educational process of students of higher education institutions will contribute to physical, intellectual, psychological preparedness, creative potential and the realization of a healthy lifestyle.
