The article focuses on the fractals in music of C. Debussy, symmetry of similarity created by constructive
functions of separate sounds, intervals, chords, and short motifs. Blocks of ostinato, branching on strata in
musical texture, reduced and irregular reprises are based on microstructures. The author assumes that Debussy’s
program style, which reflects the idea of fractional multiplication of time and space (chronotope), has both:
predecessors and followers.
