AESTHETIC VALUE IN THEOLOGICAL SYSTEM OF AUGUSTINE

The article deals with the principles of aesthetics in the theological system of Aurelius Augustinus.
Referring to his work “Confession” points to the contradictory nature of sensory perception, generates
sinful experience. However, it is possible to overcome through the mind towards a single through
supercosmic personalism. Thus, all the arguments Augustine focused on God as a single, perfect,
absolute being, the aesthetic does have value as God’s creation and refl ection.
