Sixty-one isolates of Macrophomina phaseolina were isolated and studied for their adaptability to different temperature and pH. Higher relative growth rate was observed at 30 oC followed by 35 oC. Similarly, Higher mean dry mycelial weight at pH 6 and 7, clearly indicated the preference of isolates to particular range of pH. Different nitrogen sources were found to have a significant effect (p≤0.01) on the physiology of M+ and M- isolates of M. phaseolina.

Since immemorial times, the tribal community has a traditionally self-managed system of folk medicine and primary healthcare mainly based on herbal remedies. In the past, human ancestors made new discoveries of the healing power of plants through trial and error. Although some of the therapeutic properties attributed to plants have proven to be erroneous, medicinal plant therapy is based on the empirical findings of hundreds and thousands of years. Ethno-medicinal survey of hilly rural area of village Kanholi - Pohi dam - Salaidabha belong to taluka Hingna of district Nagpur, a part of central India, has been conducted and revels that plants parts like leaves(47.4%), fruits(15.8%) whole plant(10.5%) of total 38 plants belongs to 29 families have been used by adiwasi (tribal) & rural population against wound therapy and related injuries such as cuts, burns, bruises caused by external injury, boils, sores, and abscess The herbal medicine preparation as paste was applied topically whereas syrup preparations were administered orally. In the present study, 38 plants have been reported to have specific wound healing property. With regards to wound healing plants species, Acanthaceae Euphorbiaceae and Lamiaceae are represented by highest number of species (3) followed by Liliaceae(2), Araceae(2), Moraceae(2) while single plant species is recorded from remaining documented 23 families. Leaves were found to be the most frequently used plant parts accounting for 18 preparations followed by fruits(6), whole plant parts(4), seed oil (3), stem latex(3), bark(3), flowers(2), roots (2) and others such as rhizome, bulb and resin. The composite preparation from 2 -3 medicinal plants had quick wound healing effect. The plants products composed of active principles like triterpens, alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, biomolecules, minerals of Ca, K and Mg etc. facilitate wound healing.

Plant cultivar of Sorghum viz. Harasona, Sweet Sorhum (local), Ruchira and Phule Yashoda were cultivated during 1999-2000, for the measurement of yield and to evaluate nutrient status. The overall results indicated that Harasona cultivar of Sorghum was more productive and could yield 64.60 t. green fodder per hectare in 83 days and also found suitable in nutrient composition.

Labeo rohita is one of the Indian major carp present in all the freshwater ecosystems of India. Primordial germ cells (PGCs) are studied by collecting different stages of L. rohita and were identified on the basis of their shape and size. PGCs were elliptical to spherical in shape with clear cytoplasm from 24 hrs hatchling (ah), PGCs were identified and on 60 mm development stage they were located on gonadal ridge. PGCs were bigger than the somatic cells which are present in their vicinity. Migrating germ cells were generally elliptical in shape and produced cytoplasmic extensions which help them in migration and adhesion. PGCs were seem to originate from the gut endoderm and started descending along the wall of intestine. From 24 hrs onwards, mesonephric duct are pushed upwards due to the development of air sacs between kidney and alimentary canal. Gonads were seen suspended in the coelomic cavity from 10 mm stage onwards from the dorsal body wall by a mesentery.

Spermatogenesis commenced in September and by October spermiogenesis is observed and sperms are slowly transported to the cauda epididymis. Peak spermatogenesis and spermiogenesis occur in testis in November-December and thus enormous numbers of sperms accumulate in the cauda epididymis. Regression sets in the testis by mid January and complete regression or involution of the testis occurs by March. Although the testis undergoes regression the sperms are stored in cauda epididymis until mid-April. Estimation of Glycogen during the reproductive cycle in the epididymis of Leaf nosed bat Hipposideros speoris was examined. Fructose was estimated throughout the year, with the commencement of breeding in September the quantity of epididymal fructose is highest during January, February, March (56.55 ± 10.72, 59.72 ± 3.01 and 59.36 ± 20.97 mg/g of tissue) and in April the level is slightly lower than these three months 43.79 ± 29.01 mg/g of tissue. The epididymal fructose level declines from May (24.33 ± 4.1 mg/g of tissue) and reaches minimum value during July 9.52 ± 4.71 mg/g of tissue).

Soil is the combination of rock, mineral fragments, organic matter, water and air. It is mostly made up of grains of rock weathered by wind, rain, sun, snow etc varying amounts of humus. The type of soil depends on the mixture of humus and the size of the grains of the rock. According to United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), there are over 50,000 different varieties of soil with different soil pH in the United States alone. Soil pH is a measure of how acidic or basic things are and is measured using a pH scale between 0 to 14, with acidic things having a pH between 0-7 and basic things having a pH from 7 to 14. In present research work soil samples are studied using various chemicals such as Methanol, Etahnol, Pentanol, n-Butanol and Propanol. The important information about soil quality in terms of soil pH is deducted from the present research work.
