The state of modern exhibitions is considered, the latter being an important means of communication between producers and consumers in the Ukrainian market under market economy. Exhibitions reflect the material, technological, information, and communication development; they have become a standardized price indicator, an economic and political platform forecasting changes in supply and demand in the global agricultural market, and a globalized phenomenon with economic, political and socio-cultural content. The author argues that international agricultural exhibitions and fairs are the most effective tools for studying the situation in the agro-industrial market, finding potential consumers, establishing business and cooperation contacts, setting up business cooperation and integration, searching for investors, and more. The article characterizes such leading international agricultural exhibitions as: “Agritechnica”, or the International Exhibition of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment in Hanover; IGW Berlin (International Green Week), which is the largest platform for exhibiting equipment and products of the food industry, agriculture and horticulture; International Green Week (IGW); EuroTier Hannover, or the International Exhibition of Livestock and Poultry; SIMA Simagena Simavip, which is an agricultural exhibition in Paris; SIA (Salon International de L'agriculture), or Paris Agricultural Salon, specializing in animal husbandry, horticulture and food; AgriEquip, or International Modern Agricultural Equipment & Technology Exhibition held in Shanghai; the international exhibition of Warsaw Food Expo in Poland; and International Agro-Industrial Exhibition in Kyiv. It is argued that participation in exhibitions strengthens the competitiveness of agricultural enterprises, create long-term mutually beneficial partnerships, increase the enterprise’s domestic and foreign trade, and promote agricultural and food products in other market segments.

Theoretical provisions and practical recommendations for identifying the determinants of woodworking industry development in Ukraine in the postwar period make up the subject of the study. The existing research papers indexed by scientometric databases Scopus and Web of Science on maintaining the competitiveness of the woodworking industry in Ukraine have been systematized and generalized. The research results in deepening the theoretical basis for identifying the basic meaningful determinants of competitiveness of the woodworking industry in various countries grounded on using bibliometric analysis tools (by means of VOSviewer v.1.6.10). Four contextual research clusters on the competitiveness of the woodworking industry, which include the largest number of publications, are identified. An integrated assessment is made of competitiveness shown by certain types of economic activity carried out by the woodworking industry in Ukraine and the world. The main measures of state support aimed at maintaining the work of Ukraine’s industrial sector during the war are presented. The following problems in organizing the activity of the woodworking enterprises in wartime are defined: lack of qualified personnel; loss of logistics infrastructure, supply chains, and sales in the regions where active hostilities took place; limited access to raw materials for enterprises located in less forested regions of Ukraine; loss of customer base; limited supply of fuels and lubricants, spare parts, equipment of enterprises in the Central, Eastern and Southern regions of Ukraine; reduction of business activity in some regions of Ukraine, etc. Drivers of maintaining the competitiveness of Ukraine’s woodworking industry in the postwar period have been formed

The article deals with the topical problem of spatial development of territorial communities. The study aims at creating a methodical approach to identifying the problems in the functioning of territorial communities, the former being caused by unstable conditions, and the areas of spatial development of territories using a problem-oriented approach. The application of a problem-oriented approach to the spatial development of territorial communities is substantiated. The approach provides a set of actions in public administration and influences aimed at solving theoretical or practical problems of efficiently using local community resources by gaining new competitive advantages, creating favorable living conditions, ensuring population loyalty through actively solving the already existing and possible problems in community functioning. Within the problem-oriented framework, the spatial development of united territorial communities involves an approach based on the hypothesis that using the strategic capacity of a territorial community is not a problem-free process, and the arising problems require analysis and sound management decisions at the community level and within the powers of local authorities. A methodical approach to identifying problems with the functioning of territorial communities in an unstable environment is suggested. Namely, it involves analyzing the following issues: a) development level of united territorial communities through evaluating their resource provision and self-assessment of their development level, which helps to draw conclusions as for the effectiveness of using the community resources; b) legislative support for the spatial development of territorial communities; and c) the existing mechanisms, methods, and instruments of the state policy on the spatial development of Ukrainian territories. A cognitive map of interrelations between the existing problems of the spatial development of territorial communities has been drafted, in which four groups of problems are identified, in particular: 1) problems within the spatial development of territorial communities, and those connected with Ukraine’s territorial system; 2) problems of socio-economic development based on self-sufficiency; 3) problems in the local self-government system; 4) problems of rural development

The article suggests a scientific base for using «green» and social bonds to solve environmental problems in water supply systems; numerous facts that encourage using social investment tools in the high-yield water sector are revealed. In particular, preconditions for intensifying economic activity in the construction field are appearing, as it is obvious that a constant threat of shelling faced by our country changes the requirements for all living conditions, and water supply systems as well. Emphasis is placed on the assumption that if the green bond market in Ukraine is implemented and developed, it will help to create a multiplier for attracting funds to implement various environmental projects and to increase guarantees for investors injecting funds in such projects. Both negative and positive factors of using social investment to modernize water supply systems in Ukraine are identified. It is concluded that it is necessary to intensify the development of the regulatory framework for «green» and social investment in order to offset the trend of debt accumulation among enterprises operating water supply systems in Ukrainian settlements, so that such enterprises could become monopolists in the market

The main problem, facing the whole hospitality industry nowadays, is COVID-19 pandemic and its sequences. During the pandemic many hotels closed their doors and some of them will be no longer reopen. Majority of hospitality industry employees lost their jobs, profits have fallen. This research is conducted to analyze the strategy that one of the well-known Latvian hotels Pullman Riga Old Town has realized in response of COVID-19 crisis towards its stakeholders. The research is aimed at elaborating ways that should assist an enterprise at its efforts to overcome the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 and providing suggestions about coping with the crisis. The authors have analyzed the crisis phenomena as well as conceptual foundations of anti-crisis management, taking into account the current situation in the hospitality industry of Latvia in the context of the crisis caused by COVID-19 in general and Pullman Riga Old Town hotel in particular. The study was conducted from 1st of April 2020 to 17th of October 2020. Innovation is increasingly entering our lives, and its development rate is forcing innovation communities to appear and implement innovation faster. The article is aimed at studying the innovation communities concept, identifying their objectives and emphasizing the importance of their development. The scientific and methodological approaches to defining the essence of the innovation community have been analyzed. An innovation community is defined as a group of people united by a common goal to achieve their aims, and addressing pressing issues. The general features and components of innovation communities are considered, and the need for their creation is substantiated. It is determined that innovative communities help to solve problems by involving the opinion of the socially active population, thus making it possible to approach topical issues in more detail and make correct and agreed decisions. The principles of developing innovation communities are considered. Stages of developing innovation communities are defined as following: working groups, communities of practice, innovation communities. Emphasis is placed on the strengths and benefits of innovative communities (creating open communication; promoting learning; reducing risks when dealing with large or risky projects; increasing trust by taking into account every opinion, which, in turn, creates a comfortable atmosphere; creating open communication by organizing discussions and generating common and agreed ideas). An example of an innovation community is given, and the responsibilities of each participant are considered (trend scouts, technology scouts, competition scouts, content researchers, industry experts, clients, leading users, idea generators, analysts).
