ABSTRACT: One of the most exciting aspects of the astrophysics is the continued discovery of the wide range of molecular species. The Astro-molecules like as H2O, H2S detected in interstellar matter have been covered in present study. In this paper, we report a theoretical study on electron scattering by Astro-molecules in the low-energy range. The rotational excitation differential scattering cross sections (DCS) are calculated for electron scattering by Astro-molecules like H2O and H2S, at the energy 2.14 eV. and 5.0 eV respectively. The Born Eikonal Series (BES) Approximation method is employed for present calculation and using the hard sphere dipole interaction potential model for electron-molecule interaction. The results obtained for present calculation are compared with experiment and theoretical data available in the literature.

ABSTRACT: We studied the most general spherically symmetric space-time, in time – independent gravitational fields in related to the pre - Hawking radiation, gravitational collapse and stability of the model. It is seen that in stationary space-time, there is no pre - Hawking radiation, and model will continue to collapse due to the gravitational effect. The model is unstable and has no stability phase in stationary spacetime.

ABSTRACT: The intellectual or mental development of children and adults with Down syndrome has often been described in terms of IQ (Intelligence Quotient) which is calculated on the basis of the various IQ tests. In the present study of Down syndrome patients from Haryana State, all the Down syndrome patients were categorized into four groups on the basis of degree of mental retardation following WHO system of classification (ICD-10, WHO 1993). Maximum number (52%) of Down syndrome cases was with moderate mental retardation. More number of cases of severe Down syndrome group could be diagnosed before six months as compared to mild and moderate group. Two ways ANOVA test was significant at 5% level, showed association between mental level and age of diagnosis of patients. Chi-square (2) test indicated a significant association between chronological age & I.Q. levels in these patients. Delivery complications like mother had Rh incompatibility & bleeding during late pregnancy were more common in moderate & severe Down syndrome group as compared as compared to mild group. This study will be helping in evaluating the brain development & difference to the progress of patients with Down syndrome. The standardization data allows analyst to compare the scores for a particular child with those of a large sample of children of the same age, so that they can see if the child is doing better or worse than the standard of this large, given sample.

ABSTRACT: The present study was carried out on the Jamner River, a tributary of the River Narmada, joining at right bank just upstream of Indira Sagar Reservoir. Narmada River has been studied for its conservation and ichthyofaunal diversity but its tributaries have not been studied for its aquatic diversity. Observance in this view, the diversity of fish fauna of the Jamner River in Dewas District, Madhya Pradesh, Central India has been studied from the period May 2011 to March 2013. This river is the lifeline of the people resides in nearby villages mostly for various domestic activities. Fishing for livelihood and food is a common practice of the local community. The fish diversity of the river is still unexplored and not documented. The aim of the study was to explore the fish fauna of Jamner River. In the course of investigation, four sampling spots were selected viz. Harangaon, Jeeyagaon, Sindalpur Bridge and confluence point of Narmada River. The total 27 fish species were recorded under four orders, nine families and 16 genera. 21 species of Cypriniformes, three species of Ophiocephaliformes, two species of Perciformes and one species of Mastacembeliformes have been recorded. The Cyprinidae family is dominant and sub dominant family is Ophiocephalidae. The over fishing and pollution are the major threat for fish diversity of the Jamner River. The present study has categorized the endangered and threatened fish species of Jamner River.

ABSTRACT : Microscopic theoretical studies of scattering and reaction problems for light and medium mass nuclei have been extensively carried out during the past several years using wavefunctions corresponding to various nuclear models[1]. In this present paper the antisymmetrized wavefunction of ground state of 5He nucleus is constructed with definite spin and parity using the cluster model alongwith Resonating group method RGM and Generator coordinate method GCM. The 5He nucleus in its ground state is considered to consist of one alpha cluster and a neutron cluster. Here we have applied a new approach ie Complex Generator Coordinate Technique CGCT. This technique is applied to the cluster model wavefunction to transform it into antisymmetrized product of single particle wavefunction. In the last the normalization constant is also calculated in order to make the wavefunction to be normalized.

ABSTRACT: Musa paradisiaca L., Ravenala madagascariensis Sonn. and Heliconia rostrata Ruiz & Pav. are three morphologically similar genera retaining confusion regarding their systematic position and phylogenetic relationship. These genera had been placed by various taxonomists in different systems of classification under different families. Therefore, the present study was undertaken to infer the phylogenetic relationship between these genera and their respective families. To analyze the intergeneric and interfamilial phylogenetic relationship; the morphological and biochemical analyses were carried out and the data were elucidated for phylogenetic trees by using Mesquite 2.75 (http://mesquiteproject.org). However, the phylogenetic trees so obtained failed to show any close relationship. Other analyses were carried out by using MEGA 5.0 (www.megasoftware.net/) where amino acid sequence of rbcL protein and matK DNA sequences were retrieved from NCBI (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/), aligned by clustalW software and had been analyzed for maximum parsimony, maximum likelihood and neighbour joining. The phylogenetic trees so obtained clearly showed that M. paradisiaca, H. rostrata and R. madagascariensis are three distinct genera, belonging to different families. This supports the Cronquist’s modern system of classification and also justifies the placement of these three plants under three different families in APG III system of classification. Thus, M. paradisiaca, R. madagascariensis and H. rostrata must be recognized under three different families as they constitute a common clade known as Commelinids on the basis of morphological, biochemical and molecular evidences.

ABSTRACT: An experiment was conducted in the field laboratory, Department of Plant pathology, Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh to evaluate the efficacy of compost tea and poultry litter extract in controlling late blight of potato and tomato under natural infection condition. Significant effects of different organic amendments were observed on the incidence and severity of late blight in potato and tomato as compared to control. The results showed that the minimum late blight incidence, per cent late blight infected leaves per plant and per cent leaf area diseased per plant were recorded in T3 (compost tea applied as foliar spray) followed by T2 (foliar spray of Ridomil) while these parameters of late blight assessment were recorded maximum in control treatment (T1). Application of IPM lab Biopesticide and BAU-Biofungicide performed better as compared to remaining treatments used in the study. All other components such as soil application of poultry litter, mustard oil cake, soil drenching of compost tea and poultry litter extract resulted significantly lower late blight incidence and severities as compared to untreated control (T1). Foliar application of compost tea showed best performance in increasing the plant height and yield as compared to all other treatments although soil application of mustard oil cake and compost produced tallest plant and highest number of plants, respectively in potato while the maximum plant height, number branches per plant, and fruit yield in tomato were recorded in case of compost tea applied as soil drench as compared to control. The other treatments showed significant effect in increasing all the growth and yield parameters of both potato and tomato as compared to control. Benefit cost analyses revealed that foliar spray of compost tea showed highest BCR (65.20) followed by T8 (Soil application of IPM Lab Biopesticide) with BCR 54.38 in case of potato while the highest BCR (28.32) was calculated in plots received compost tea as soil drenching followed by T9 (BAU-Biofungicide as foliar spray) in case of tomato. The other treatments showed comparatively higher BCR as compared to untreated control in both vegetables. The results indicated that an investment of Tk. 1.00 may lead to a profit up to Tk. 65.20 by foliar application of compost tea in potato and may lead to a profit of Tk. 28.32 with soil drenching of compost tea in tomato which are maximum profit inthe present study.
