Development of Tourism in the Attractive Region of South Moravia (Podluží Region) – Czech Republic

This paper deals with the development and transformation of tourism in the Czech Republic on the example of the development of the region Podluží and one of their centers of Hodonin town. The tourist activities in the region, we specifically the most attractive, namely wine and folklore tourism in close liaison with food tourism and then increasingly popular cycling and water tourism. Especially with cycling routes are (following the program "Greenways") routed so that they went through all the major wine-growing region and the sites followed the basic backbone network of cycling routes passing through the entire territory of the Czech Republic. Development of water tourism here is closely linked to industrial tourism, which as a waterway is used for important technical monument - Baťa Canal. Briefly stated Hodonína own town's history in the context of gradual industrialization of the area (lignite mining and hydrocarbons), its major depression and subsequent changes in tourist activities.
