The current study intended to explore the relationship of spiritual intelligence, work-family conflict and psychological distress among university teachers. A sample of 100 university teachers (50 males, 50 females) was recruited within the age range of 30 to 50 years using non-probability purposive sampling. It was hypothesized that there would be a relationship between spiritual intelligence, work-family conflict and psychological distress among university teachers. Spiritual Intelligence Self-Report Inventory (SISRI-24; King & DeCicco, 2009), Work-Family Conflict Scale (WFCS; Carlson, Kacmar, & Williams, 2000) and Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS 21; Lovibond & Lovibond, 1995) was used to assess spiritual intelligence, work-family conflict and psychological distress. A significant negative correlation was shown between personal meaning production (a component of spiritual intelligence) and psychological distress by Pearson Product Moment Correlation. A significant negative correlation was also present between personal meaning production and time based family interference with work (a factor of work-family conflict). There was a positive correlation between work-family conflict and psychological distress. It was concluded from the study that increased spiritual intelligence certainly decrease the probability for university teachers to undergo work-family conflict and resulting psychological distress. So, it is suggestible to incorporate spiritual intelligence fostering programs in the teachers training to reduce conflict between work and family settings and resulting psychological distress.

The Study was designed to investigate the intrapersonal and interpersonal components of emotional intelligence, and psychological well-being of late adolescents: orphans living in orphanages and non-orphans living with both parents. Research was conducted on 128 participants, among them 64 were orphans (32 boys and 32 girls) and 64 were non-orphans (32 boys and 32 girls). The sample was selected through purposive sampling technique. The age range of the participants was between 16 and 21 years. Data of orphans were collected from two orphanages. For the data of non-orphans, higher secondary schools were approached. Demographic data sheet, Scale of Emotional Intelligence (Batool & Khalid, 2009) and Ryff’s Scale of Psychological Well-being (Ryff, 1989) were used to measure the study variables. Group differences on t-test indicate that orphans scored significantly lower on emotional intelligence and psychological well-being than non-orphans. Result of stepwise regression show that intrapersonal and interpersonal emotional intelligence significantly predict psychological well-being. It may be concluded that children living with both parents and those living in orphanage significantly differ on emotional intelligence and well-being, and intrapersonal and interpersonal components of emotional intelligence are significant determinants of well-being of orphans and non-orphans.

Objective of the present study was to find out the relationship of organizational justice with turnover intentions and also the difference in turn over intentions in Type A and type B personality style. After literature review following hypotheses were formulated 1) Organizational justice would be positively correlated with turnover intentions, 2) There would be a significant difference in turnover intentions of type A and type B personality. Sample size of the study consisted on 90 male and female teaching staff of universities in Lahore. Cammann, Fichman, Jenkins, and Klesh (1979) questionnaire to measure Turnover Intentions, organizational justice measure by Joy and Witt (1992) and personality test by Glazer (1985), was utilized to identify the types of personality in A and B categories. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and t-test were applied to examine the data. Results (Mean = 3.48, σ = .92, r = -.288, P <.01) showed the negative and significant association among distributive justice and turnover intentions and procedural justice found to have a negative and insignificant relation with turnover intentions (Mean = 3.46, σ = .94, r = -.187, P >.01). According to the result (Mean Type A= 2.79 & Mean Type B= 2.40, t= 2.241, P <.05), further, personality type “A” was found to have more turnover intentions as compared to type “B” personality.
