The aim of this study was to determine the correlation between body height and arm span. The survey was conducted on a sample of 187 adolescents from Pljevlja (Northen Montenegro), 78 boys (18.30 yrs) and 109 girls (18.09 yrs). The measurements was done according to the regulations, and then the variables were compared. We used a regression analysis to determine the relationship. The average height of the boys was 182.55±5.74cm, and arm span 184.3±6.68cm, while the average height of the girls 169.53±6.23cm and arm span 167.48±6.39cm. The ratio of body height and arm span was determined by correlation coefficients with a confidence level of 95%. In the end, regression analysis showed whether the arm span predicted body height. The results showed high coefficients of correlation and a large percentage of explained variability, which means that the arm span reliably predicts the height of the body.

The purpose of this study was to describe morphological characteristics and body composition of the basketball players from Super League and Second League of Serbia as well as to make comparison between them. Forty-eight males were enrolled in the study, divided into two groups: twenty-four senior players from the Super League and twenty-four senior players from the Second Basketball League of Serbia. Morphological characteristics were evaluated by a battery of four variables: body height, body weight, arm span and leg length. Body composition was evaluated by a battery of two variables: Body mass index and body fat percentage. The standard central and dispersive parameters of all variables were calculated. The significance of the differences between the basketball players from the Super League and the Second League of Serbia was determined by a t-test for small independent samples. The purpose of this study is to describe the anthropometric characteristics and body composition of the basketball players, as well as to determine possible differences in relation to the ranking of the competition. The results showed that a significant difference was found for five variables among the group: body height, body weight, arm span, leg length and body fat percentage, while the difference was not observed for body mass index. Therefore, these findings may give coaches knowledge that there are significant differences between teams in relation to the rankings of the competition.

The aim of this study was to determine the level of physical activity of elderly women living in the Canton of Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The sample consisted of 115 subjects, divided in two sub-sample: first group aged 50-59 (54.87 ± 2.59), N = 75; and second group aged 60-69 (64.52 ± 2.80), N = 40. Data collection was obtained using a long version of the International Physical Activity Questionnaires (IPAQ). After the results analysis, a high overall level of physical activity of the treated sample of elderly women was determined. The first group of elderly women (age 50-59) achieved the total work MET 13990.56 ± 11012.0; the second group of elderly women (age 60-69) achieved the total work MET 9921.02 ± 7861.13. Determined exceptionally heavy physical activity (MET) was the most dominant mode of energy consumption in the case of both elderly women groups, was not expected. The first group was more physically active compared to the second group of elderly women (p <0.05). This research has confirmed that physical activity decreases with age. Promoting physical activity to improve the quality of life of elderly people should be a priority task of health policy of all local communities. It is important to provide appropriate ways of information about the health status of elderly people in order to determine priorities, and accordingly plan appropriate programs of physical activity.

The aim of this study was to obtain relevant knowledge about significant differences in some anthropometric characteristics of top soccer and basketball players. The sample included 39 male subjects divided into two subsamples. The first subsample included 26 subjects, who trained in the senior selection in the Football club Vojvodina from Novi Sad, while the other subsample included 14 subjects who trained in the senior selection in the Basketball club Vojvodina, from Novi Sad. The variables sample included 20 anthropometric measures that defined longitudinal and transversal dimensionality of skeleton, body volume and body mass, and subcutaneous adipose tissue. The results were analysed in a statistical procedure marked as a significance testing of two arithmetic means of the independent samples, a t-test at the level of significance of p<0.05. It was concluded, based on these results that significant differences occur in all variables for evaluation of longitudinal and transversal dimensionality of skeleton, as well as for body volume and body mass. When we talk about subcutaneous adipose tissue significant differences occur in all variables except for the skinfold of the upper arm.

This research was aimed at gaining relevant knowledge about the attitudes of Autonomus Province of Vojvodina consumers toward advertising through sport among the question how often they participate in sports activities. The sample included 451 students from Faculti of Sporth and Physical Education, Faculty of sport and tourism in Novi Sad and Chemical, Biotechnology and Medicine Department in Subotica, divided into six subsample groups: consumers who do not participate in sport activities at all, then consumers who participate in sport activities less than ones a month, next 1–4 a month, 5–10 a month, 11–20 a month, as well as consumers participate in sport activities more than 20 times a month. The sample of variables contained the system of three general attitudes which were modelled by seven-point Likert scale. The results of the measuring were analyzed by multivariate analysis (MANOVA) and univariate analysis (ANOVA) and Post Hoc test. Based on the statistical analyses it was found that significant differences occur at multivariate level, as well as between all three variables at a significance level of p=.000. Hence, it is interesting to highlight that it was found there are significant differences showed up between the consumers who participate in various sports activities. The significant differences were found in one of three variables, while the consumers who participate less than 4 times a moths had much more negative attitudes toward advertising though sport.

The aim of this research was to determine the differences among the rugby players of national team of Montenegro and national team of Bulgaria in the morphological characteristics and body composition. A sample of 43 examinees is divided into two sub-samples. The first sub-sample of the examinees consisted of 23 players of rugby national team of Montenegro, while the other sub-sample consisted of 20 players of rugby national team of Bulgaria. Morphological characteristics in the body composition were evaluated by a battery of 10 variables: body height, body weight, triceps skin set, biceps skin set, back skin set, abdominal skin set, thigh skin set, lower leg skin set, body mass index and muscle mass. The standard central and dispersive parameters of all variables are calculated. The significance of the differences between the players of the two national teams in the morphological characteristics and variables for assessing body composition was determined by a t-test for independent samples. It was not found that the rugby players of the two mentioned national teams have statistically significant differences in morphological characteristics and body composition.

The aim of this study is to determine the elastic (reflective) properties of the tennis ball depending on the air pressure in it. The standard tennis ball was released on a flat, solid surface from a height of nine meters, three times. For a tennis ball pressure was measured based on the time and rebound of the ball after the first, second and third falls. In the first release the air in the ball was under prescribed pressure. After the first release, the pressure in the ball is reduced by the fact that the ball once is stabbed with a hollow medical needle, after the second release, the pressure in the ball is reduced further by the ball being pierced twice with a hollow medical needle. The setting of the experiment was done by filming the free fall of the prescribed tennis balls and a series of rebounds after being rejected from a solid surface. It can be concluded that the distance traveled and the total duration of four successive reflections largely depended on the internal pressure. In this study, the initial tennis ball velocity was unchanged and only internal pressures were changed. It was determined how much the rejection rate was reduced and the duration of the re-acceleration, depending on the reduction of the internal pressure. All in all, it can be concluded that the initial speed of the ball can be increased by increasing the internal pressure in the ball.

The aim of this study was to obtain the relevant knowledge about significant differences in some anthropometric characteristics of junior soccer and basketball players. The sample included 38 male subjects divided into two subsamples. The first subsample included 25 subjects, who rain in the junior selection in the Football club Vojvodina from Novi Sad, while the other subsample included 13 subjects who train in the junior selection in the Basketball club Vojvodina, from Novi Sad. The variables sample included 20 anthropometric measures that defined longitudinal and transversal dimensionality of skeleton, volume and mass of the body, and subcutaneous adipose tissue. The results were analysed in a statistical procedure marked as a significance testing of two arithmetic means of the independent samples, a t-test at the level of significance of p<0.05. It was concluded, based on these results, that significant differences occur in body height, bodyweight, elbow diameter, wrist diameter, lower arm circumference (max), lower leg circumference (min) and lower leg circumference (max), while the significant difference does not occur in knee diameter, ankle joint diameter, upper arm circumference (min), upper arm circumference (max), lower arm circumference (min), upper leg circumference (min), upper leg circumference (max), upper arm skinfold, lower arm skinfold, thigh skinfold, calf skinfold, chest skinfold and abdomen skinfold.

The main objective of this research was to be done meta-analysis of original scientific papers published in the journal Sports Mont from 2006 to 2018, who determined the level of motor and situational-motor abilities in basketball players of different ages. In this paper, a meta analysis of 6 papers in the field of motor skills in basketball was conducted. On the basis of the parameters received in said original published scientific papers, it can be concluded that both the base and situational-motor abilities of primary importance for the identification and characterization of young players, and by analogy, and the specialization of basketball game. It is necessary to monitor and apply the achievements of modern sports science, and thus the specific diagnosis of training young athletes. Motor diagnostics in sport is a fundamental science which is the initiator of top results every successful sports team should use at least some sort of diagnostic tools for testing and evaluation of athletes and to create training process.

The main goal of this research was to determine one meta analysis of published original scientific papers in the area of motor abilities in volleyball in Sport Mont Journal in 2006-2016. From the review of the published original scientific papers that are being analyzed, it can be seen that this is a longitudinal research. In this paper, a meta analysis of 6 papers in the field of motor skills in volleyball was conducted. Analyzing the basic central and dispersion parameters in all original scientific papers in the final state, it was noticeable that the arithmetic meanings had better values in almost all values compared to the initial state. To determine the statistical significance for evaluating different tests in published works, t-test for dependent samples and multivariate analysis of MANOVA were applied. T-test values and multivariate analyzes were significant or significance level (Sig.) from 0.01 (p≤.01) in almost all variables. This systematic overview shows a comparative analysis of the collected studies and the processed data. It can be concluded that the training program of all scientific orginal papers has led to positive transformations.

This investigation was aimed at gaining relevant knowledge about the attitudes of University of Novi Sad consumers toward advertising through sport among. The sample included 168 students from Faculti of Sporth and Physical Education in Novi Sad, divided into six subsample groups: consumers, who do not watch sports events at all, then consumers who watch sports events 1-30 minutes, next 31-60 minutes, 61-90 minutes, 91-120 minutes, as well as consumers who watch sports events more than 120 minutes during the typical day. The sample of variables contained the system of three general attitudes which were modelled by seven-point Likert scale. The results of the measuring were analyzed by multivariate analysis (MANOVA) and univariate analysis (ANOVA) and Post Hoc test. Based on the statistical analyses it was found that significant differences occur at multivariate level, as well as between all three variables at a significance level of p=.00. Hence, it is interesting to highlight that it was found there are significant differences showed up between the attitudes of consumers toward advertising through sport among the frequency of watching sports events. The significant differences were found in two of three variables, while the consumers who do not watch sports events had much more negative attitudes toward advertising though sport.

The purpose of this study was to describe morphological characteristics and body composition of the Second League basketball players from Montenegro and Serbia as well as to make comparation between them. The significance of the differences between the Second League basketball players from Montenegro and Serbia was determined by a t-test for small independent samples. The results showed that a significant differences was no found for any variable among the group. Therefore, these findings may give coaches knowledge that Montenegrin players have a good morphological potential, in that segment are not lagging behind for the Serbian players, whose players make excellent results at international competitions.

The unusual height of Montenegrin inhabitants of the highland region has been recognised by European anthropologists more than 100 years ago. In light of rather sparse recent scientific literature, the purpose of this research study was to examine the body height in both sexes of Montenegrin adults nowadays. Furthermore, the relationship between arm span and body height, which varies in different ethnic and racial groups, was used as an alternative to estimating the body height for some groups of the population. The nature and scope of this study analyses 100 adolescents (51 men, aged 18,31±0,70 and 49 women, aged 18,35±0,69) from Danilovgrad. The anthropometric measurements were taken according to the protocol of the International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthropometry (ISAK). Means and standard deviations were obtained. A comparison of means of body heights and arm spans within and between the sexes were carried out using a t-test. The relationships between body height and arm span were determined using simple correlation coefficients and their 95% confidence interval. A linear regression analysis was then performed to examine the extent to which arm span can reliably predict body height. The results have shown that male from Danilovgrad are 184.35±7.39 centimetres tall and have an arm span of 184.91±9.67 centimetres, while female from Danilovgrad are 168.36±6.59centimetres tall and have an arm span of 167.27±7.84 centimetres. Comparing the results with other studies has shown that both sexes of Danilovgrad are very tall.

Possible differences in the physical values ​​related to characteristics of the age group and the play positions in soccer. The aims to analyze the isokinetic muscle strength profiles, anthropometric, neuromuscular and cardiovascular characteristics, comparing age, categories and play positions. 105 players divided into U-17, U-20, Professional and six play positions. The isokinetic test, anthropometric measurements, counter-movement jump test with arms and yo-yo intermittent recovery test were performed. Significant differences (p<0.05) were found in the professionals compared to U-20 and U-17 for body mass, height, body fat, VO2max and for U-17 in relation to professionals in the isokinetic test. Significant differences were also found between play positions (p<0.05) for body mass, height, VO2max and isokinetic. Soccer athletes playing in different positions have different profiles of physiological characteristics and U-17 have a lower level of strength compared to professionals, suggesting the importance of training specificity.

The purpose of this research was to examine Montenegrin adolescents’ body height from the northern region. Also, the research examines an arm span as an alternative assessment for measuring the body height which varies from region to region in Montenegro. The research surveyed 345 adolescents (164 males and 181 females) from the northern region of Montenegro. Anthropometric measurements were performed according to the protocol of the International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthropometry (ISAK). The final outcome of the research are mean values and standard deviations related to anthropometric measurements. The relationship between the body height and the arm span was determined by using simple correlation coefficients and their 95% confidence interval. This was followed by a linear regression analysis which was utilized to determine to what extent the arm span can reliably predict the body height. The results show that adolescents from the north part of Montenegro are high; men have an average body height of 182.89 ± 6.39 centimeters and the arm span of 182.95 ± 7.04 centimeters, while the average height of the female population is 169.47 ± 6.08 centimeters with a arm span of 168.02 ± 7.40 centimeters. Compared to other studies, the results of this research have shown that this population is taller than most nations throughout Europe. Moreover, as it was expected, the arm span can predict reliably the body height when it comes to this population.

We did a research with a sample of 100 male respondents from Bar. A standardized IPAQ questionnaire was used as the instrument of the research, in order to find out the amount of physical activity for people aged between 50 and 69 years. From that number of respondents, 63 respondents was between 50 and 59 years, and 37 respondents between 60 and 69 years. The questionnaire consists questions about physical activity on work, in transport, at home, and during free time. The research results have shown that respondents of both groups have a low level of physical activity in transport, by the younger group 429,81MET, and by the older group 571,38MET. The same level of activity is present for free time activity by the younger group 546,2MET. A moderate physical activity are represented for free time activities by the older group 927,3MET. All the other aspects of physical activities are represented on a high level, by both groups. By comparing these two subsamples with a t-test (level of significance 0,01), it has been established that there is a statistically significant difference between these results, except for the total moderate intensity activities.

The aim of this research was to determine the differences among the top football players of the two Kosovo clubs FC Trepca ´89 and FC Prishtina in the morphological characteristics and body composition. A sample of 35 examinees was divided into two sub-samples. The first sub-sample of the examinees consisted of 15 players of FC Trepca ´89 of the average age 21.80±3.57, the champions of the Kosovo Championship in the season 2016/17, while the other sub-sample consisted of 20 players of FC Prishtina of the average age of 24.30±4.99, the vice champions of the Kosovo Championship in the season 2016/17. Football players were tested immediately after the end of the competition season 2016/17. Morphological characteristics (7) in the body composition (4) were evaluated by a battery of 11 variables: body height, body weight, waist size, triceps skin set, biceps skin set, back skin set and abdominal skin set, body mass index, fat percentage, muscle mass and bone mass. The standard central and dispersive parameters of all variables were calculated. The significance of the differences between the players of the top two football clubs in the morphological characteristics and variables for assessing body composition was determined by a t-test for independent samples. It was found that the football players of the two mentioned clubs dont have statistically significant differences by the variables that estimate the morphological characteristics and body composition.

The goal of this study was to examine the bodi height of male and female from the Danilovgrad and Cetinje, as well as the ratio of body height and arm span as an alternative assessment of body height. A total of 244 individuals (125 male and 119 female) participated in this research. Anthropometric measurements were taken on the basis of the International Community for the Advancement of Kinantropometry (ISAK). Methods and standard deviations in anthropometric measurements were used. The T-test has verified the differences in the arithmetic mean of anthropometric variables in relation to half of the subjects. The correlation between the body height and the arm’s length was analyzed with a confidence of 95%. By linear regression analysis, the prediction of the arm’s range on the criterion variable is the body height at the new value of p <0.05. These relationships are shown as a scatter diagram. The results showed that male are 182.49±6.81 cm high and have a range of arms of 183.60±8.27 cm, female are 168.14±6.30 in height and have a arm span of 167.07±7.36 cm. Compared with other studies, the results of this study have shown that men and women from the Danilovgrad and Cetinje belong to a high population, higher than most of the nations in Europe. On the other hand, as expected, it has been shown that in this male and female it is possible to predict reliably the body height using a arm span However, the estimation equations obtained for men and women from the Danilovgrad and Cetinje differ from the general population, since the arm span was closer to the height of the body (1.11±1.46 cm) and (1.07±1.06 cm) than in the general population. That confirmans the need of development of special height models of montenegrin population, for everu region in Montenegro.

The aim of this paper is to determine the differences in the level of morphological characteristics, speed abilities and aerobic endurance according to the team positions of top female football players. The study included 18 female football players (age 21.33±3.67, body mass index 20.94±1.95). Female football players are classified under the following team positions: defenders (n = 7; 23±16.4 years), midfielders (n = 6, 20.5±14.3 years) and attackers (n = 5; 20±31.3 years). The following tests were used: 0-5m sprint (s), 0-10m sprint (s), 0-20m sprint (s), 0-30m sprint (s) and Beep test. Body mass index (BMI) was calculated based on the ratio of body weight (kg) and body height (cm). Based on the Beep test, the maximum oxygen consumption (VO2max) was calculated and presented in its relative value (ml/kg/min). The attackers had a higher body height (170.1±7.46) and weight (59.60±8.84) than those playing in midfield and defense positions. Also, the attackers were faster in the sprint on the 5m (1.17±.06), 10m (1.91±.06), 20m (3.27±.10) and 30m (4.51±.17) than female players in midfield and defense positions. Midfield players had higher level of VO2max (50.03±2.69) than female players in defensive and offensive team positions. Test results of univariate analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed that there are significant differences in the level of morphological features, speed and aerobic endurance capabilities between the top female football players, regardless of their team position (p>0.05). It is obvious that good speed abilities on short sprint sections as well as high level of aerobic endurance at high intensity are required regardless of players team position in the women’s football. It is important to note that selection for team positions can not only be based on morphological characteristics, speed abilities and aerobic endurance of players. Also, tactical tasks as well as technical characteristics of players need to be considered for selection of team positions in the women’s football.

The results have shown that male from Kolasin are 185.33±6.94 centimetres tall and have an arm span of 186.91±9.48 centimetres, while female from Kolasin are 169.82±7.09 centimetres tall and have an arm span of 164.47±8.44 centimetres. This research was aimed at gaining relevant knowledge about the attitudes of Educons University consumers toward advertising through sport among the question how often consumers purchase sporting goods. The sample included 200 students from Faculty of sport and tourism in Novi Sad, divided into six subsample groups: consumers who do not purchase sport goods at all, then consumers who purchase sport goods less than ones a month, next 1–3 a month, 4–6 a month, 7–9 a month, as well as consumers who purchase sport goods more than 10 times a month. The sample of variables contained the system of three general attitudes which were modelled by seven-point Likert scale. The results of the measuring were analyzed by multivariate analysis (MANOVA) and univariate analysis (ANOVA) and Post Hoc test. Based on the statistical analyses it was found that significant differences occur at multivariate level, as well as between all three variables at a significance level of (p=.000). Hence, it is interesting to highlight that it was found there were significant differences showed up between the consumers who purchase sport goods. The significant differences were found in two of three variables, while the consumers who purchase sport goods less than 3 times a moths had much more negative attitudes toward advertising though sport.

Hence, there is necessity to analyse their general attitudes among various questions, while this research was aimed at gaining relevant knowledge about the attitudes of Mostar consumers toward advertising through sport among the question how often they participate in sports activities. The sample included 228 respondents, divided into six subsample groups: consumers who do not participate in sport activities at all, then consumers who participate in sport activities less than ones a month, next 1–4 a month, 5–10 a month, 11–20 a month, as well as consumers participate in sport activities more than 20 times a month. The aim of this research was to determine the differences among the top football players of the two Montenegrin club FC Sutjeska and FC Mladost in the morphological characteristics and body composition. A sample of 40 examinees was divided into two sub-samples. The first sub-sample of the examinees consisted of 23 players of FC Sutjeska of the average age 21.69±4.30, the champions of the Cup of Montenegro in the season 2016/17, while the other sub-sample consisted of 17 players of FC Mladost of the average age of 24.59±4.66, the vice champions of the Montenegrin Championship in the season 2016/17. Football players were tested immediately after the end of the competition season 2016/17. Morphological characteristics in the body composition were evaluated by a battery of 11 variables: body height, body weight, body mass index, fat percentage, muscle mass, bone mass, waist size, triceps skin set, biceps skin set, back skin set and abdominal skin set. The standard central and dispersive parameters of all variables were calculated. The significance of the differences between the players of the top two football clubs in the morphological characteristics and variables for assessing body composition was determined by a t-test for independent samples. It was found that the football players of the two mentioned clubs have statistically significant differences by the two variables that estimate the amount of fat percentage and the amount of subcutaneous fat tissue on the back in a favor of FC Sutjeska.

The main goal of the research was to make one meta-analyze of original scientific papers, mostly published in the Sport Mont Journal, who dealt with the identification of the level of quantitative changes in situational motor skills at cadet football players under the influence of the programmed training process in the preparation period. Three tests were used for estimation of each situational motor ability. In the field of comparative statistics, for determining the differences in variables used to estimate situational motor abilities at the beginning (starting state) and at the end (final state) of the training program during the preparation period, a discriminating parametric procedure t-test was used for large dependent samples. Based on the numerical values of t-test, in all the aforementioned published papers, it was the concluded that statistically significant positive quantitative changes occurred in situational motor skills during the preparation period of cadet football players. Such a training program during the preparation period proved to be very effective in raising the level of situational motor skills in cadet football players. This meta-analyze shows that the obtained results can be focused on innovative plans and programs in the preparation period as well as on adapting the same to the needs of the appropriate population.

The aim of the paper was to classify titles in their fields of science. The sample of this research consisted of 94 titles, Sport Mont Journal published in 2012. The method of content analysis concluded that the most read works from the anthropology of sports - 45, then research in sport and sociopsychology - 14, then sports methodology, education and sports, management and marketing in sport - 18, the field of biomechanics includes – 4, physiology of sport - 2, methodology – 3, and, ultimately, sports medicine - 7. It should be noted that the authors of these works were from the whole region, and even wider.

The Montenegrin Sports Academy organized in 2006, the Second Congress and the Third Scientific Conference, with the international editorial and reputation, published by Sport Mont, 4(10-11). In this issue of the magazine there are 103 scientific papers from different multidisciplinary and monodisciplinary fields. The papers are classified by sports disciplines: training and testing, of multidisciplinary impact, kinematics, physiology of sport, sports history, sports sciences, sports psychology, sports medicine, sports management, sports equipment and technology, physical education and methodology, sports recreation, corrective gymnastics and anthropometry. In this paper we classified works by field, method of addressing analysis and found that the most numerous works from training and testing and multidisciplinary influence. We found that the published works had different themes of different multidisciplinary and monodisciplinary areas. Cited works can also be useful for further theoretical research, as they indicate the summing up of experiences and pointing to professional-scientific knowledge of practice and theory, and thus a wider view of the vital issues of sport, and of its overall achievements within the most current scientific fields.

The main goal of this research was to determine one meta analysis of published original scientific papers in the field of sports training in Sport Mont in 2016. From the review of the published original scientific papers that are being analyzed, it can be seen that this is a longitudinal research. In this paper, a meta analysis of 6 papers in the field of sports training was conducted. Analyzing the basic central and dispersion parameters in all original scientific papers in the final state, it was noticeable that the arithmetic meanings had better values in almost all values compared to the initial state. For the determination of statistical significance, the differences in arithmetic meanings (partial quantitative changes) of the variables for evaluating different tests in published works, the t-test for dependent samples and the multivariate analysis of ANOVA and MANOVA were applied. T-test values and multivariate analysis were at significance or significance level (Sig.) Of 0.01 (p≤.01) in all variables. This systematic overview shows a comparative analysis of the collected studies and the processed data. It can be concluded that the training program of all scientific orginal papers has led to positive transformations.
