At the moment, with the ever-increasing importance of the religious factor in geopolitical
processes, the question of the mutual influence of the largest confessions on a global scale,
Christianity and Islam, is insufficiently studied and updated. The roots of these processes
originate in the Abrahamic genesis of these confessional formations, giving a powerful family
connection with each other. The study of the theme of mutual influence and borrowing from
each other is aimed at getting acquainted with the facts and conclusions of the work of the
widest audience, and primarily Christians and Muslims. For thinking people, this should
contribute to a deeper understanding of the unity of people who profess these religious
views. In terms of mutual influence, Christianity and Islam intersect in many aspects.
Mutual influence took place in the field of theological views, organizational structure,
external cult forms, science, culture, and everyday life. In this paper, an attempt was made
to cover a small, but the most striking set of facts of the mutual influence of the two world
religions, which can quite clearly indicate the relevance of the topic itself. This work can in
no way claim to be complete coverage, due to the limited volume, and also because of the
multidimensionality and vastness of the problem. This article brings to a larger information
circulation already known, but for a small circle of specialists, facts. The scientific novelty
of this study can be called some of the author’s assumptions, which may turn out to be
indisputable and, possibly, having a different coverage in scientific publications.
