Published conversation with Nikolay Lisovoy was part of a series of interviews that, from the moment
we met Nikolay Lisovoy in the Radonezh studio in 2003. Until 2011, I recorded conversations with
him for this radio station. Some of which were later published. Published conversation with Nikolay
Lisovoy was recorded in his office in the apartment on May 21, 2007. The topic of the conversation
was two major events of May-June 2007: the reunification of the Russian Church and the 125th
anniversary of the IOPS. The first part of the interview was published on the Radonezh radio
website at the initiative of the editors and with some cuts. In preparing this publication, the text
was typed with the kind assistance of A.V. Veselova from an audio recording of the conversation,
preserved in our archive. It was a time when Nikolai Nikolaevich was in the prime of life
and, most importantly, circumstances favored his work. October 23, 2006 he turned 60 years
old. For the anniversary, Nikolai Nikolayevich gave an interview to the priest Dimitri Safonov
and L.G. Kalinina. On October 23, 2006, the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Nikolai
Nikolayevich took place in the pilgrimage center of the Moscow Patriarchate. He was warmly
congratulated by his friends: Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society Chairman Ya.N. Shchapov, head
of the scientific section A.V. Nazarenko and many others. On the eve of the interview on April 11,
2007, a long-awaited event took place in the life of Nikolay Lisovoy — defense of a dissertation
for the degree of Doctor of Historical Sciences. September 28, 2007 for the book, which was
published in 2006 on the topic of Nikolay Lisovoy received the Makariev Prize of the first degree.
