The aim of this study was to prepare and characterize the nanoparticle formulation of Repaglinide to facilitate the development of a novel drug delivery system with improved efficacy and bioavailability. These particles were prepared by Ionotropic gelation method. Prepared formulations were evaluated for Zeta potential,Particle size Polydispersibility index,entrapment efficiency,production yield and in vitro drug release. The formulation batch F4 was found to be best formulation among all the prepared formulations because it showed least particle size, better poly dispersibility index, entrapment efficiency and in vitro drug release.

Tailas or oils are important group of formulations used by Ayurvedic physicians to treat various types of diseases. Mahanarayan massages oils formulation which is used for the treatment of arthritis, Paralysis, and other joint related disorders. It also helps to stimulate the internal functions of the body while providing nourishment to different body tissues. Oils also lubricate to skin and tissue. The Present work was conducted to standardize the selected five marketed Mahanarayan massages oils for their physicochemical parameters, i.e. color, odor, pH, specific gravity, acid value, peroxide value & saponification value. The findings of the study showed that Mahanarayan massages oils were complies the requirements for physicochemical parameters as prescribed in standard text.

Buccal films show rapid dissolution along with it also used to avoid first pass metabolism of the drug entrapped in the buccal film formulation because they get absorbed through buccal mucosa .The aim of present investigation was to explore the use of honey a plasticizers, compared with PEG400 as plasticizer. Film of Fentanyl Citrate a narcotic opoid analgesic for cancer breakthrough pain is formulated by solvent casting method using HPMC E15 as a film forming agent, Honey and PEG400 as plasticizers and Sodium Starch Glycolate as superdisintigrant. All the formulations were evaluated on the basis of Tensile strength, %Elongation, in-vitro drug release and folding endurance . Through optimization F3and F6 proved to be best formulation through which formulation with PEG400 proved better than with honey. But honey as plasticizers gives satisfactory result and can be used further for formulating film with natural plasticizer.

The primary objective of this investigation was to develop a QSAR model for novel series of phenoxy acetamide derivatives as Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors. The data series were taken from the reported work of Wei Shen et al., 2014. The selected series consists of total 20 compounds, divided into two sets training set having 18 compounds and test set with 2 compounds. All the structures of phenoxy acetamide derivatives were sketched using Chem Office 2001. QSAR models were obtained by using VALSTAT software. The best-developed model showed a good correlative and predictive ability having regression coefficient (r2) of 0.9033 and q2 is 0.8376. For MAO B inhibitor activity, MW has positively correlated. The positive correlation of MW indicates that bulky group or higher molecular weight compounds are important for better MAO enzymes inhibition activity. The negative correlation of HOMO indicated that electrophilic group may increase the activity. The BetaPol also negatively correlated indicated less polar group give more activity. Based on the developed QSAR model, it may be concluded that highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) energy, molecular weight and Beta Polarizability are to be considered while designing newer compounds, for their potential MAO inhibitory activity.

Delivery of drugs to the targeted ocular tissues is restricted by various precorneal, dynamic and static ocular barriers. Also, therapeutic drug levels are not maintained for longer duration in target tissues. In the past two decades, ocular drug delivery research acceleratedly advanced towards developing a novel, safe and patient compliant formulation and drug delivery devices/techniques, which may surpass these barriers and maintain drug levels in tissues. Anterior segment drug delivery advances are witnessed by modulation of conventional topical solutions with permeation and viscosity enhancers. Also, it includes development of conventional topical formulations such as suspensions, emulsions and ointments. On the other hand, for posterior ocular delivery, research has been immensely focused towards development of drug releasing devices and nanoformulations for treating chronic vitreoretinal diseases. These occuserts formulations may help to surpass ocular barriers and associated side effects with conventional topical drops. Also, these novel devices and/or formulations are easy to formulate, no/negligibly irritating, possess high precorneal residence time, sustain the drug release, and enhance ocular bioavailability of therapeutics. An update of current research advancement in ocular drug delivery necessitates and helps drug delivery scientists to modulate their think process and develop novel and safe drug delivery strategies.

To study the incidence and etiological factors of pancreatitis in both alcoholics and non alcoholic patients.serum amylase and lipase levels were compared in alcoholics and non alcoholics. This is a prospective observational study conducted in district head Quarter hospital, Khammam. Total 100 in-patients are included in this study according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. Detailed history of patients were considered along with physical and laboratory examination, ultra sound examination for the conformation of etiological factor of pancreatitis in patients has been made. In our study, out of all, 116 patients have conformed that alcohol is the main etiological factor and remaining 26 of patients were from nonalcoholic history. The patients with alcoholic etiology were 93 patients. Out of 142 patients, 96 patients have acute pancreatitis and remaining 26 patients have chronic pancreatitis. The patients with nonalcoholicetiology were 26 patients. Out of 26 patients, 20 patients have gall stones, 2 patients have hypercalcemia and 2 patients have triglyceredemia. The study concludes that alcohol is the major cause of pancreatitis in patients. Serum amylase and lipase levels are high in alcoholics than the non- alcoholic and the gall stone is the main cause in non-alcoholic patients for pancreatitis.
