David Chubinashvili’s opinion about surname of Bagrationi is quite interesting issue. Hence, our work in these directions will obviously be an innovation with the purposes of revealing D. Chubinashvili as great Georgian historicist and developing modern Georgian historiography as well. I will try to do my honorable bit in solving the mentioned problem. Methods of research, methodology, experience, found materials, the analysis and conclusions of the study on the different periods of the history of Georgia, David Chubinashvili used to be a great acquisition for the modern Georgian historiography. Thus, our work in this direction will not only innovation in the presentation of a well-deserved D. Chubinashvili historian of Georgia, but also in the development of modern Georgian historiography.

Integration of Central Caucasus into Russia had a wholesome influence on socio-economic and cultural development of domestic population of this region. The people of Central Caucasus were enabled to learn Russian culture, to write and to speak Russian as well as to create and to develop their own national written languages. The first books and schools in Central Caucasus were established also after integration into Russia in XVIII century. Popularization of Orthodox Christianity in Caucasus was launched by the tsarist government up from fourteens of XVIII century. It has played a positive role in cultural development of mountaineers.

The work presents the diplomatic activity of the Georgian Democratic Republic in Europe, with the aim of recognition of its sovereignty at the international level. On March 14, 1919, the Georgian delegation has presented a Memorandum to the conference with a short description of past and present realities of Georgia. The document has been argued the need for state independence of Georgia. By this Memorandum, the Georgian authorities have requested the allied states to support the choice of the Georgian people, Georgian people's choice, the recognition of the Georgian nation among other nations and recognition of its sovereignty.

The article said that the North Caucasus was one of the centers of early civilization, as it was settled by nomads since ancient times, thanks in no small measure contributed to the very favorable natural and geographical conditions of the region. It was here that establish trade, political, military and cultural contacts between the near Eastern countries and Eastern Europe and the North Caucasus because the region gradually formed as a multiethnic region. It consisted of three language families: the Caucasian, Turkic and Indo-European (Ural-Altaic). The article describes the history of the formation of ethnic resettlement in the Caucasus and considered their ethnographic map. It is proved that at the beginning of the XVIII century ended with the formation of the ethnic composition of the population of the North Caucasus, which has survived unchanged to this day.

The article deals with the facts characterizing the degree of involvement of the fortress of Anapa in the supply of Russian troops located in Crimea and Sevastopol during the Crimean war of 1853-1856 year. It presents numerous materials from English, Irish and Scottish Newspapers of the period, which described in detail every event that had a connection to the fortress of Anapa. These foreign sources blend harmoniously with the data from the Russian periodicals, and information stored in the State archive of the Krasnodar region. All the information can be divided into three periods of life of Anapa: before leaving the fortress of Anapa, at the time of its abandonment by the Russian army and after returning of the Russian garrison in Anapa. In the conclusion the author comes to the conclusion that the degree of participation of Anapa to the Crimean war is quite high, despite the fact that geographically it is not located in the Crimea.

Describing the modern Russian society the religious sphere, we can say it widespread Protestant religious associations in it. This fact would not have caused such a lively interest, if it does not touch the national regions of Russian Federation, by which is meant the North Caucasus, in particular, the Republic of Dagestan. It is spread in the country in the second half of the XIX century, the Protestant communities of different directions - Baptists, Adventists, and in the post-Soviet period – evangelicals, Pentecostals, not only became part of the religious paintings of the Dagestan society, but also the subject of public and political debate, and social service. It is called the Russian Orthodox Church to missionary activity among the Muslim peoples of the North Caucasus and Dagestan in the early XIX century. This historical fact is not widely used due to position of the Islamic religion at the time in Dagestan. Transition of ethnic Dagestan people in Christianity was a surprise and challenging for the community in the post-Soviet swept hundreds of Dagestan people. In this context, it becomes legitimate to question the status of Protestants in Dagestan: whether to consider them as a dissonance or still is a normal pattern in the course of history In the present article, through the analysis and historical facts, we did attempt to get an answer to this question.
