An experiment was conducted in a private orchard at AL-Abbasyia, Najaf Governorate during the growing seasons of 2016 on fig cv. AswodDiala, Waziri, White Adriatic and Kadotato investigate the effect of leaf aria, total chlorophyll, number lobate, deep lobate, petiole length, length of fruit, diameter of fruit, length petiole of fruit, weight of fruit, ostiolum diameter, %Total soluble solids, % titratable acidity, firmness,% dry matter in pulp,% dry matter in peel, % Calcium pictate, percentage of carbohydrate, percentage of N, P, K, Ca, Mg content in leaves and in fruits peel on percentage of total cracking of four Fig cultivars of second crop. Results showed that cv.Kadota have the best result of studied characteristics at the year of experiment. There was significant differences with correlations among leaves and fruits characters and the percentage of the nutrient N, P, K, Ca, Mg in leaves, fruits and percentage of total cracking of four fig cultivars

The goal of this study is to predict how the death of male prostate cancer patients subjected to surgical operation is associated with their prostate specific antigen (PSA), age, grade and stage of prostate cancer, and thereby determine the relationship between the likelihood of survival from the disease and other risk factors, using the most parsimonious model. Three logistic regression models were fitted to the outcome of prostate cancer surgical operation data. Model 1 fits all the four predictors, model 2 is a reduced model involving PSA, age and grade as predictors, and is nested in model 1, while model 3 involves PSA, age, grade and interaction term of age*PSA. Model1 gives a deviance value of 144.02 on 116 d.f (p=0.0399), model 2 yields a deviance of 145.27 on 119 d.f (p= 0.0511), while model 3 gives deviance of 0.7293 on 115 d.f (p=0.7293). Model 3 appeared to have fitted the data well but none of the predictors including the interaction term is significant in predicting the status patients to undergo surgical operation. The focus is therefore on model 2 for interpretation, which is moderately reasonable and revealed some of the predictors as significant. In fact, the AIC value for model 2 clearly revealed the model as the most parsimonious, compared to the other two models. The results of model 2 revealed that PSA and age were the two significantly important predictors to the model specification. Surprisingly grade made no significant contribution to the model in the presence of other predictors. The results also showed that for a unit increase in PSA of patients, the odds of dying from the surgical operation increases by 0.4783 with other variables fixed. Also, the older prostate cancer male patients have higher possibility of dying from the surgical operation of prostate cancer removal compared with the younger males. The odds of dying from prostate cancer surgical operation therefore increased with PSA and age of patients, so that the two predictors are critical to the survival of patients subjected to surgical operation. Few observations were identified as outliers from the residual plots, but they did not cause much perturbation in the model parameters on omission. Diagnostic evaluation of the model therefore revealed no major problem in the model. The area under the ROC for the three models ranges between 0.77 and 0.79, giving acceptable discrimination of the models. There was an indication of slight overdispersion in the data but does not call for concern. The proposed logistic models are useful in predicting the outcome of surgical operation of male prostate cancer patients; and could be used to generalize for other male Nigerians since genetics and environment have effect on the disease.

In this work has been carried out analysis of the quality of honey from 18 different locations and different floral backgrounds in Bosnia and Hezegovina. It has been made analysis of only those known samples to beekeeper that produces and it has not done analysis of commercial kinds of honey. The analysis has been done according to the regulations on quality control of honey F. B&H which is in accordance with international standards. It has been analyzed the following parameters of honey: electrical conductivity of honey that was moving in the range from 0.13 to 1.4 mS / cm, by reducing sugars in the range from 64.8% to 85.00%, sucrose from 1.23% to 6%, insoluble matter from 0.12% to 0.5%, a water content from 15.4% to 10.4% and the acidity from 15-34 mmol acid / kg honey. The results have showed that in all samples of controlled parameters within the limits has been prescribed by the domestic and international standards of quality honey so that we can conclude that the beekeepers in B&H produce high quality honey.

Women empowerment is a process in which women challenge the existing norms and culture, to effectively promote their well-being. The Theeramythri programme of Society for assistance to Fisherwomen (SAF) facilitates and handholds fisherwomen to engage in gainful self-employment for their economic and social emancipation. The participation of fisher women in SAF activity groups has made a significant impact on their both in social and economic aspects. The SAF visions to initiate encourage and strengthen locally organized activity groups among fisherwomen, thereby providing assistance for expertising their business development skill, resource utilization and management, performance improvement, networking and marketing. This study addresses performance appraisal of SAF Theeramythri, activity groups of the Coastal districts of Kerala. The study identified that more than 300 million rupees has been provided as grant to these groups and these groups had been instrumental in empowering the fisherwomen in Kerala. The study focused on identifying the different aspects of the performance appraisal of the activity groups with an aim on analysing the present status SAF activity groups and its impact on the empowerment of the poor fisherwomen, Identifying the critical attributes determining the performance/non-performance of innovators and laggards, analyzing the performance/positive changes of the different categories of the activity groups after involving in the Theeramythri project. Average and percentage analysis was carried out to draw meaningful interpretation of the results. Garrette ranking technique, weighted average analysis, factor analysis and step wise regression methods have been implied to analyse various aspects of the performance level of the different activity groups of SAF. The study also established the pivotal role SAF plays in achieving the goals of empowering fisherwomen and developing sustainable and commercially viable business models. The results of the study revealed that the SAF have got huge impact on both economic and social aspects of the beneficiaries.
