A MINISSÉRIE GRANDE SERTÃO VEREDAS: DE ENTRETENIMENTO A REGISTRO MEMORIALÍSTICO

This paper to point aspects of the adaptation of the novel Grande sertão: veredas, of João Guimarães Rosa (1956), for the eponymous miniseries, directed by Walter Avancini (1985), in what remained of approach to literary work, and the options that broke with the hermetic inherent in writing Rosa, ensuring closer to the viewer public and criticism. More than a quality entertainment work, however, three decades after the release of the miniseries, the pictorial and sound recordings made in predominantly northern mining leases are configured as documents from memory of an authentic wilderness, endangered. The research is based on semiotic theories, studies of the interior, mass communication and relationships between literature and audiovisual.
