The article presents an analysis of the participation of Alash - Orda in the events of the Civil War in1918-1922 through the prism of its relationship with the White Guard movement. The October events of 1917 and the coming to power of the Bolshevik’s were carefully met by Alash people, and the Soviet model of the state did not meet their requirements of national-cultural autonomy. In this context the leaders of Alash-Orda collaborated with the White Guard movement, represented by the Provisional Siberian Government, the Samara Committee of the Members of the All-Russian Constituent Assembly, the Ufa Directory. Alash people together with White Guard detachments took an active part in the military operations against the Bolsheviks. However, none of the White Guard governments never officially recognized the autonomy of the Kazakhs. The Coming to power of All-Russian Government, headed by Kolchak and his ideas about great-power Russia recovery, resulted in the elimination of regional autonomies. This fact significantly affected further fate of Alash-Orda and finally led to recognition the Soviet power by Alash people.
