The reason for choosing this theme is to emphasize the phenomena that occur in a set (measuring device) due to external environmental factors and forces that errors involved in the measurement process. These factors influence the measurement results and their presence can not be seen with the naked eye. Thanks to the progress of last years and helping on software, advanced design, and analysis, the designer have handy ever since the concept of a device able to check the resistance to stresses and deformations that may occur in a structure, model or assembly. Following that verification, it is able to more easily decide how to strengthen the structure needed, more robust modeling benchmarks or the use of harder materials. These issues are highlighted in this paper and illustrated by finite element analysis of the structure of a measuring device using Ansys software.

This paper is about an active orthosis which is part of an exoskeleton. The purpose of this orthoses is to sustain and increase the muscular force of a person through pneumatic artificial muscles. This paper presents how this type of orthoses is working and the components that build it up. This orthosis can be used by people with locomotor dysfunction but also by military soldiers who need to be increased muscular force.

The logistics center represents a major part of modern logistics. The selection of an optimal location for the logistics center is crucial for a company to be competitive in today's global economy. This article presents the second stage of the multiple criteria decision-making analysis based on a two-stage procedure contributing to the selection of the most convenient location for a logistics center. In the second stage, the analysis of the counties is performed to define the most suitable locations for the logistics center within the region selected in the first stage. The appropriate criteria for the selection of logistics center location have been identified, and the considered variants are assessed, considering the decision maker’s preferences and existing constraints. The variants are ranked in terms of their suitability for selecting a location by using the Electre III method. The results obtained from the simulation experiment indicate that this methodology is a feasible decision support model.
