Analysis of social and economic factors influence the development of youth press in independent Ukraine

On the basis of historical and journalistic discourse analysis of socio-economic factors influence the development of youth press in
independent Ukraine. Proposed definition of the essence of youth media through their main characteristics. Obtained such factors
impact on the domestic youth media: the formation of information society in Ukraine, young people rethinking their place in society, the
development of youth organized movement, raising the political consciousness of the Ukrainian youth, the spread of new presentation
technologies, financial and economic situation of young people and youth media.
Under the conditions when the analysis of the youth policy of the state, as well as the situation of youth in Ukraine is already long
time is today urgent problem of political science, public administration, sociology, history and other disciplines, questions the role of the
youth of the printed word has not yet received a proper all-encompassing study, except individual publications and few monographs.
It is noted that the transformation of the Ukrainian youth axiological systems (with Soviet values on the values of the independent
Ukraine) was a long process, which in some regions of our country is still ongoing. It is proved that organized youth movement
represented by the students and the other layers of young people, was at the forefront of receipt of the Ukrainian State. However, the
origins of the youth press in independent Ukraine are back to 1990-1991. When all the youth publications came out of the subordination
of the Komsomol.
In recent decades, to the development of youth media in Ukraine at the same time is influenced by a number of socio-economic
factors, and certainly in a positive and a negative concept. Among the positive factors of influence – the growth of national and political
consciousness, and the level of self-organization of the Ukrainian youth that was reflected in its information requests to the printed text.
However, the basic negative factor influencing consider financial and economic, which is expressed and manifested in the fact that the
ongoing crisis in the domestic economy has led to increased negative social phenomena among young people, its partial exclusion, and
then – primitivization subjects of individual youth newspapers and magazines.
In the face of these conflicting trends urgent task becomes media-education youth means of the printed word, and is particularly
active – at the regional level. With media-education youth can critically evaluating the work of journalists, featuring the myth from
reality, understanding the nature of the manipulation, to understand their attitude, attitude and formulate professional push requests to
the domestic media.
