The purpose of this paper is that through extensive historiographical material to analyze the history of emigration of the Jewish population in the late XIX – early XX century. of Ukrainian lands of North and South America, South Africa and Eretz Yisrael. Identify the main directions of migration flows and to establish their causes and consequences, and especially the existence and fate of immigrants in the countries of resettlement.
The object of study is the migration movement of Jewish ethnic Ukrainian lands in North and South America and the Eretz Yisrael late XIX – early XX century. By the object of study included various aspects of the movement.
The subject of research is government policy towards immigration, methods and conditions of migration, social, legal status of immigrants in countries of immigration, immigrant organizations activities, activities of diplomatic missions, the role of Jewish charities in the formation of communities of immigrants living.
The methodological basis of the study is a set of scientific methods that form the basis of historical research: a historical approach to the analysis of the phenomena of the past, scientific objectivity, comparative-historical method, an integrated approach to the analysis of historical events, taking into account their multidimensional.
