In the article the results of exploring leftshore of Tiligul lagoon of Mykolayiv complex archaeological expedition are presented. It is done attempts of previous analysis of main archaeological artifacts. Introduction to the scientific use of new materials is for more detailed study of historical development of region of Steppe Pobuzhzhya.
The history of research of monuments of a late bronze age in region Steppe Pobuzhzhya is traced. Time and character of opening of archaeological monuments, typical utensils which is characteristic for settlements is analyzed. The special attention is gives to researches hillfort «Dykyj Sad» («Wild Garden») in Mykolayiv, which represents a unique monument of an epoch of a late bronze age.
In their article authors consider the main aspects of utilization of hand fire-arms by the Ukrainian Cossacks. They concentrate their attention on Cossack’s ability of utilization of arms in common with some field fortifications; utilization of Cossack’s formation of infantry; utilization of different forms of firing a volley depending on tactical situation.

According to the archaeological complex of hillfort we can describe «Dykyj Sad» as the beautiful appearance amont the archaeological monuments of the period of final bronze of the steppe line of the South Ukraine, which fulfil the function of cultural and religions, commercial and economical and political centre of East Europe in II–I millennium B.C.
