Referring to the assumptions of so called creative social rehabilitation, the author ind icates that prison education can and should have much broader than just a didactic dimension. The article presents four artistic projects, conducted in Polish penitentiaries in the period 2012––2014. Abstract. The objective of the study was the presentation of life plans of rural adolescents attend-ing secondary schools, their plans directly after completing school, as well as hopes for the more distant future. The plans of rural adolescents were described in comparison to the plans of ado-lescents living in urban areas. The scope of problems undertaken was analysed basing on studies conducted by the method of a diagnostic survey, using a questionnaire form, in a group of secondary school adolescents from the Lublin Region. There were surveyed 304 adolescents attending secondary general and technical schools, including 209 rural and 95 urban inhabitants. The study showed that the majority of both rural and urban adolescents had a positive attitude towards their future; however, they were aware of a multi-factor conditioning of their chances to obtain life goals. Plans concerning further education in the group of rural adolescents clearly differed from those of urban adolescents. The percentage of those who plan to undertake full-time studies was twice lower among rural when compared to urban schoolchildren. Rural adolescents more frequently than their urban contemporaries intend to undertake occupational activity, or study part-time and work at the same time. Despite the fact that the majority of the adolescents examined plan to start a family, these plans most often depend on such circumstances as: meeting an appropriate candidate for a mariage obtaining a proper material standard, or completing education. Rural adolescents, to a greater extent, focus on obtaining a proper material status which would provide a suitable life standard for a family. Urban adolescents pay more attention to personal relationships with the future spouse and practical aspects – completing education.

Context of theImplementation of the FINECVET model to the formal and nonformal education TRANS-FINECVET project refers to the development of the European Credit Systems for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) in the European Union and the European and National Qualifications Framework, including characteristics describing the learning outcomes (knowledge, skills and competence). The project’s key aim shall be constituted by the transfer of European good practice at practical implementation of the ECVET approach, as well as development and improvement of the quality of professional qualifications in occupations important for the European labour market, i.e. Child Care Worker and Health Care Assistant, obtained in the formal and nonformal education. To this end, in the initial phase of the project the action O1 was taken – Comparative analysis of the competence standards of Child Care Worker and Health Care Assistant, the result of which is report on the research conducted in three partner countries: Poland, Finland and Spain. Artykuł został opracowany na podstawie stażu zrealizowanego przez pracownika firmy na Politechnice Rzeszowskiej. Dynamiczny rozwój teleinformatyki znajduje zastosowanie w różnych dziedzinach życia, w tym w podnoszeniu kompetencji zawodowych pracowników. Szkolenia personelu kopalni, zwłaszcza dozoru elektrycznego odpowiedzialnego za dystrybucję energii prowadzone były do tej pory tradycyjnymi metodami. Ze względu na niemożliwość symulacji funkcjonowania kopalnianej sieci elektrycznej szkolenia dotyczyły sytuacji standardowych i były prowadzone tylko teoretycznie. Mając na celu poprawę kompetencji zawodowych pracowników kopalń oraz w celu stworzenia możliwości sprawdzenia podejmowanych działań w różnych warunkach, opracowano koncepcję wirtualnego systemu zarządzania siecią elektryczną kopalni.

The article presents a good practice concerning the competitions on knowledge of health and safety in mines. The use of IT tools and forms of communications were described in a detailed way by an example of a selected mining plant. The article also shows the impact of the solutions on the number of competitions participants. Based on the survey, authors identified the reasons for participation in the competition and the expectations related to the extension of functionality of used IT solutions. Actions described in the article are an example of good practice in the field of cooperation between the industry and research institutes.

The modern WHO definition of “health” strongly emphasizes the inseparability of health and internal and social life of a man and one’s concern for the physical condition. Historically, the integration of medical sciences and social pedagogy resulted in development of a holistic concept of a health upbringing in theory – a health education (M. Demel 1980). The main aspects of health education: physical, mental and social are supposed to support health of individuals and the whole society. The article presents the dilemmas associated with formation of the sub-discipline of health pedagogy. Promoting health is a challenge for pedagogy, as it is indicated by the determinants of health, developed by Lalonde, lifestyle contributes to maintaining health condition in more than 50%. This is a major problem in all concepts linked to health education, as well as a humanistic approach to look at health issues of individuals and the whole society. The article presents the results of preliminary survey on the level of health awareness among master degree studies students. The study was conducted before the beginning of lectures on the subject of health education in 2014. The complexity of our anatomy, individual and not only age-related differentiation causes difficulties while designing technically complex objects as clothes and shoes in their variety of models, shapes and size. This article points out the impact of the publication of Sophie Kovalevskaya – the Russian mathematician, Professor of the University of Stockholm to explore the ideas and organizational and programmatic assumptions of Scandinavian folk high schools by the Poles in the late nineteenth century and the first decades of the twentieth century. The author recalls the first Polish discuss of her article on the Swedish folk high schools (prepared for the St Petersburg magazine “Sewernyj Westnik, No 11, 1891), which appeared in the pages of magazines in Warsaw in 1891 and the Polish edition of the full text of the Russian scientist as an independent booklet: „Uniwersytet chłopski w Szwecji” (Eng.: “The university for peasants in Sweden”) in the K. Kowalewski printing house in 1903. Next, he pointed to the examples of the use this translations of Kovalevskaya work by the Polish authors (Michalski and Krzeczkowski, Lutosławski, rev. Ludwiczak et al.) to promote folk high schools as institutions that can contribute to development of the Polish rural areas.

Long-life education is a quite popular idea, but more should be spoken and written about what is really changing in the seniors’ family life, the importance of changing family structure, how the value system of nowadays society is changing and how it can influence functioning of elderly people in their family environment, which is often the most important life environment for them.
