In the era of modernity, the teaching profession considers a phenomenon of getting stale in a job. It is manifested by a decreased motivation to work and lack of satisfaction. This profession is exposed to stress, which is determined by high expectations of the society. Functioning in constant emotional tension carries serious consequences for the learning process. The aim of this study is to show the importance of a syndrome of getting stale in a job of teacher, as well as its causes, symptoms, and ways to prevent emotional exhaustion of teachers.

Abstract. The objective of the study was the presentation of life plans of rural adolescents attend-ing secondary schools, their plans directly after completing school, as well as hopes for the more distant future. The plans of rural adolescents were described in comparison to the plans of ado-lescents living in urban areas. The scope of problems undertaken was analysed basing on studies conducted by the method of a diagnostic survey, using a questionnaire form, in a group of secondary school adolescents from the Lublin Region. There were surveyed 304 adolescents attending secondary general and technical schools, including 209 rural and 95 urban inhabitants. The study showed that the majority of both rural and urban adolescents had a positive attitude towards their future; however, they were aware of a multi-factor conditioning of their chances to obtain life goals. Plans concerning further education in the group of rural adolescents clearly differed from those of urban adolescents. The percentage of those who plan to undertake full-time studies was twice lower among rural when compared to urban schoolchildren. Rural adolescents more frequently than their urban contemporaries intend to undertake occupational activity, or study part-time and work at the same time. Despite the fact that the majority of the adolescents examined plan to start a family, these plans most often depend on such circumstances as: meeting an appropriate candidate for a mariage obtaining a proper material standard, or completing education. Rural adolescents, to a greater extent, focus on obtaining a proper material status which would provide a suitable life standard for a family. Urban adolescents pay more attention to personal relationships with the future spouse and practical aspects – completing education.

he majority of young people who graduate from a higher education institution expect to find a job that would allow them to pursue a career of their choice. According to various studies and reports, more and more young people decide to satisfy their aspirations on the international market. Such decisions are conditioned by the difficult situation on the national labour market, but also by the students’ desire to pursue an international career, as well as their hopes and conviction that they will succeed. The article offers an analysis of the study conducted in a group of pedagogy students graduating from the three biggest higher educational institutions in central-eastern Poland.

Nowadays the new generation pays more attention to their work being in compliance with their aspirations and furthering their professional development. Contemporary labour market requires knowledge and high professional skills from the graduates. The United Kingdom (UK) was one of the earliest countries to develop a ‘competence-based’ approach to vocational education and training (VET), and to draw up competence specifications for a comprehensive range of occupations. This approach has been emulated or drawn upon by several other countries, and it is still used as a benchmark or comparator for developing competence standards internationally. The aim of the paper is to present the possibility of using a professional qualification standard by determining the health risks that occur at workplace in the tasks execution. On the ba-sis of information resulting form the job description, the health risks have been identified. It have been shown the links between occupational hazards associated with a work of waste loader and a health condition of an employee. Context of theImplementation of the FINECVET model to the formal and nonformal education TRANS-FINECVET project refers to the development of the European Credit Systems for Vocational Education and Training (ECVET) in the European Union and the European and National Qualifications Framework, including characteristics describing the learning outcomes (knowledge, skills and competence). The project’s key aim shall be constituted by the transfer of European good practice at practical implementation of the ECVET approach, as well as development and improvement of the quality of professional qualifications in occupations important for the European labour market, i.e. Child Care Worker and Health Care Assistant, obtained in the formal and nonformal education. To this end, in the initial phase of the project the action O1 was taken – Comparative analysis of the competence standards of Child Care Worker and Health Care Assistant, the result of which is report on the research conducted in three partner countries: Poland, Finland and Spain. The article presents the abstract of this report.
