SO2is a very dangerous corrosive pollutant.This corrosive gas produces dangerous corroding effect with materials.It reacts with moist oxygen to form acids which generates corrosion problems with materials.It changes their physical,chemical and mechanical properties and tarnishes their appearance. Mild steel is a very important engineering metal and it is used for several appliances in day to day life.Mild steel is highly sensitive toward moist SO2.It develops corrosion cell on the surface of mild steel and undergoes with corrosion reaction.Metal exhibits galvanic corrosion,pitting corrosion,crevice corrosion,and stress corrosion.The concentration of SO2 gas is increasing day by day in the atmospheredue to industry,transport,road,housing,infrastructure development works and decomposition of living organisms.Its concentration was measured in summer,rainy and winter seasons in industrial areas of different cities and its corrosive effect studied on mild steel.It is observed that concentration of SO2 gas varies fromseason to season.Its concentration is more in winter than in summer and rainy. This result shows that mild steel corrodes more in winter seasons with respect of summer and rainy seasons.Nanocoating technique is used to check the corrosion of mild steel in SO2 environment.For this work,AlPO4 is applied as coating materials and DLC(diamond like carbon)as filler.Nanocoating work completed with nozzle prays and chemical vapour deposition methods. The corrosion rate and corrosion current density of metal were calculated by gravimetric and potentiostatic polarization techniques.Surface coating phenomena and its stability studied with help of Arrhenius equation and Langmuir isotherm and thermodynamical parameters like activation energy,heat of adsorption, free energy,enthalpy and entropy.

The presented paperdeals with crystallization behavior of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)- ZnO/TiO2 nanocomposites.ZnO &TiO2nanoparticles have been synthesizedby chemical method and the nanocomposites with PET have been prepared by solution casting method.The XRD analysis of ZnO and TiO2 nanoparticles illustrate the average particle size as 18.93nm and 19.31nm, respectively. The DSC thermograms of PET-ZnO/TiO2 nanocomposites explain the crystallization behavior when the samples have been subjected to cooling after melting. The increment in cooling rate causes to lower the crystallization peak temperature. By applying Kissinger model, the crystallization activation energy could be determined.ZnO nanoparticles have been proved to be more efficient than TiO2 nanoparticles for heterogeneous nucleation in PET matrix.

In CBIR, local features play a significant role in determining the similarity of images along with the shape information of the objects so this reason encourage authors to apply local features in literatures. One of the famous shapes features are one-dimensional normalized contour sequence moments which extracted from Gradient Vector Flow fields are used to compute the edge image, which will capture the object shape information. GVF fields give excellent results in determining the object boundaries irrespective of the concavities involved. In addition, Other Shape feature such as Hu Moments and edge histogram are not as efficient as GVF Fields because in mentioned shape feature extraction methods omits useful information which decreaseretrieval percentage.

Attempting to extend approaches to signal estimation in a wavelet framework,which have generally relied on the assumption of normally distributed perturbations, we propose a novel non-linear altering technique, as a pre-processing step for the shapes obtained from an ISAR imaging system.The key idea is to project a noisy shape onto a wavelet domain and to suppress wavelet coefficients by a mask derived from curvature extreme in its scale space representation. To identify a shape independently of its registration information.In particular,we study the generalized matching by estimating mean shapes in two dimensions.Simulation results show that matching by way of a mean shape is more robust than matching target shapes directly.

After receiving the input data, the system calculates the signal graph.This step includes selecting a set of features according to their response magnitude and using Simulated Annealing to find the binary data path. A group is then used for detecting a signal.

In this paper Sr2CeO4: Gd3+ phosphorswere synthesized by solid state reaction method and their luminescent characteristics were studied.The samples were characterized by XRD, FTIR, and Photoluminescence. The X-Ray diffraction patterns reveal the crystallite size of powder.The doped compound emits blue light when the concentration of the doped Gd3+was 2.0 mol %. A broad excitation band ascribed to the Ce4+-O2-transition was observed and under the excitation at ultraviolet region.The color co-ordinates of Sr2CeO4are x = 0.17 and y = 0.20, it is in blue color region.
